随着《神奇女侠》《花木兰》《美人计》等电影陆续登陆，我们很容易产生一种错觉——男女已经在电影界平起平坐。然而这与事实相去甚远。女性仍然是电影业中定位最为模糊的群体之一。
你知道吗，平均一部电影中男女角色的比例为2:1。女性角色要么被刻板印象所困而过度性别化，要么被刻画成性别模糊、毫无个性的"路人甲"。镜头背后的情况同样糟糕，根据Elle杂志的统计，"女性制作人的占比仅为20.7%，女性作家13.2%，女性导演4.2%，女性作曲家仅仅1.7%"。

With films like Wonder Woman, Mulan, and Ocean's 8 hitting the big screen, it is easy to believe that we have now entered into a new age of equal representation of both men and women on movie screens. But the truth can not be further than the truth, women are still one of the most underrepresented groups in the film industry.
Did you know that on average, there are 2 male characters for every female character in a film? And when there are female roles, they are often portrayed in overly sexualized stereotypes. The statistics are also just as bad behind the camera. According to Elle Magazine, "20.7% of producers are women, 13.2% are writers, 4.2% are directors, and just 1.7% are composers."
But there is still hope. Join us in this panel discussion to celebrate female screenwriters, actors, agents, and directors who play a major role in striving for equal representation in front of and behind the camera. Come learn about their personal journeys, the challenges they have faced as a woman in the film industry, and how they are actively transforming how our culture views women in film.

This event is open to everyone who can benefit from learning more about the challenges that women face in the film industry and/or anyone that is interested in transitioning into a career in film. There are no restrictions on age, gender, or nationality.
