Dr. Chen Dongmin is the Dean of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Director of Science and Technology Development Office of Peking University, and a tenured full professor in the Faculty of Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies. He co-manages several seed, angel, and VC funds.

Having been an adjunct Professor at the Institute of Physics (Chinese Academy of Sciences) as well as the co-director of the Beijing National Laboratory for Condensed Matter Physics from 2004 to 2009, Dr. Chen boasts a wealth of experience in the field of physics and research. In addition, he was a Sr. Rowland Fellow and Head of the Nanoscale Quantum Physics Lab at Harvard University, and has co-authored more than 70 scientific publications and 150 US and international patents.

Dr. Chen is also a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur who has co-founded Miradia Inc. in 2003 which raised $80M USD from Tier-1 venture capitalists. He is also the Chief Scientist and the inventor of the Metal Oxide Heterojunction RRAM device at 4DS Inc and led the development of a platform technology for MEMS-CMOS 3D integration for applications in digital micro-mirror array and motion sensors.

Colin Li is currently an investment manager at Plug and Play Energy and Sustainability, where he is responsible for early project investments in the energy and sustainability sector, project collection and docking, large enterprise innovation services, and industry analysis. Prior to joining Plug and Play, he worked as an investment manager in a private equity fund, where he was in charge of supply chain finance, new energy, government industry guidance funds.

Colin holds a Master's degree in Finance from Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The founding partner and CEO of Agile Fund, Jason Xu is a successful entrepreneur turned venture capitalist. With a deep understanding of and experience in the overall Health and Wellness industry, encompassing areas such as the sports and consumer goods market, Jason had successfully founded and later sold several businesses prior to becoming a dedicated VC in 2012. These achievements also include projects in various other industries as well such as networking, telecommunication services and data marketing.

Jason is also the Angel Investor of numerous star companies such as ‘Less&More’, ‘Feel’ and ‘Mofangge.com’, and has previously held positions in Huawei, Dell China and China Shanda Group before running his own ventures in 2004.

Jason holds an MBA from Peking University, Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Language Studies.

Maggie is passionate about building women-empowerment communities and has dedicated most of her time to creating inspirational conversation for professional women across China since 2013.

Maggie has a wide sphere of influence, having sparked conversations with notable figures and media publications such as Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, BBC, TimeOut, P&G, and the UN Women’s Office on topics such as the bottlenecks in career development that women face. With a background in marketing and public relations, Maggie also finds time to help international brands localize and expand their business in the Chinese market.

After his stint with Ogilvy in 2008, Andy left China to study at the The University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, where he obtained a Master’s degree in advertising and design. After his graduation, Andy served as the Director of Marketing and Design (China) for the British Open Table Tennis, the World Short Track Speed Skating Championships, the Snooker World Championships, and several other international competitions.

After returning to China in 2011, Andy founded MadBull Design and served as Design Director. During this period, he not only provided design and consulting services for large enterprises such as CITIC Group, Minsheng Bank, and Yintai Group, but also helped a number of fast-growing enterprises to establish quality brand image. Andy was also invited twice as guest design ambassador for the UNESCO Global Public Welfare Project "Earth Water" from 2014 to 2015.

In early 2018, he returned to Ogilvy Group as Deputy Director of Creativity, where he is currently responsible for the brand maintenance and promotion for British Airways and Nestlé Group. Andy is good at using innovative but logical business design solutions to help clients complete brand and business system innovation.

Prior to this, Longfei made investments in over 10 startups and built a data-driven mechanism for JD.com and JD crowdfunding whilst he worked as an Investment Manager at JD. Longfei has also worked at KPMG China as a Consultant and was awarded Best Ovation Programme for his project in 2015.

Freyja Chen is an entrepreneurial marketing communications expert with a 5-year proven track record of serving international tech companies including Huawei, DJI, Insta360, DiDi and Baidu. Currently, Freyja oversees international communications for the Artificial Intelligence sectors of Baidu.

In her free time, Freyja likes to research on International Relations and their social impact on technologies. She is an active participant in many startup and tech communities and is highly motivated to solve existing social issues using technology.

Freyja holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication and a Bachelor’s degree in Translation from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has also completed multiple short-term programmes in institutions such as Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Kaige Zheng is a Venture Analyst at Plug and Play Tech Center, where he oversees the ventures function for insurtech in China and the APAC region. During his time at Plug and Play, Kaige kicked off Plug and Play insurtech in China and also launched the vertical program. Prior to this, Kaige was the Vice President of Liangtian Internet Technology Company where he oversaw marketing strategies and transformed the company’s business model. He also raised a USD 1 million joint venture angel investment fund from angel investors and evaluated multiple startup products whilst working as an Investment Analyst at Joint Venture Angel Investment a few years back.

Kaige holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from The John Hopkins University and a double degree in Business/Commerce and Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Rochester.

Ms. Xie founded her first start-up company in the public relations industry in 2014, working with famous brands such as Amway, Xiaomi, Country Garden, and many more. In 2015, Ms. Xie co-founded Bosrado Film and Television Company, which produced the first VR reality show "Take you to the Arctic" and received investments from an angel investor.

Two years ago, Ms. Xie started a cross-border business in the education industry and created the first family game brand "Dr. Qoo", a platform which helps parents educate children through game and play.

Zheng Dai, at just 21 years of age, is the founder of THILLIANT, a start-up that promotes the practical ethos of college students and the mindset of high-school students from second and third-tier Chinese cities. Passionate about education and social innovation, he has led the design of a Project-based Learning (PBL) course to cultivate leadership, creativity, and teamwork amongst 1000+ high school students in Gansu.

Stanford University has named him a University Innovation Fellow for his efforts to improve the ecosystem of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Peking University. He has also organized three student social practice teams to dig deeper into problems within Chinese rural areas and his work has earned him the Chunyun Award, the highest award for social practice teams at Peking University.

Zheng Dai will graduate from Peking University with a double major in Financial Mathematics and Philosophy in 2019 and will then be pursuing his graduate studies at Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University.

Sofia was one of the first to join the Stanford University Innovation Fellowship, a prestigious scholarship offered to outstanding students in entrepreneurship studies. After completing her exchange programme at Stanford University, Sofia was motivated to start a new Design Thinking boot camp in Peking University based on her experience in Stanford. In 2017, Sofia co-organised a Global Youth Entrepreneurship Summit which attracted over 100 investment companies and entrepreneurs from more than 9 countries to participate.

Currently, Sofia works as an analyst at Willhunting Capital, a PKU alumni-based venture capital. In 2021, she will pursue her Master’s degree in Finance at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management.
