The oceans are where we come from, and they hold the key to our future.
Healthy oceans are a prerequisite for blue economic growth.
On June 6th, representatives from government, academia and the business community will present their take on solutions for sustainable use of the oceans.
The event will be a half-day seminar, with the key note speaker Vidar Helgesen, the former Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment and now Norway's Special Envoy to the High-level Panel on Building a Sustainable Ocean Economy.
The event is a joint effort organized by the Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai, the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences Think Thank Foundation (SASS TTF), Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), co-organized by Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) and supported by World Wild Foundation (WWF).
