Since July 2021, Pit Heltmann is the Consul General of Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai. From 2018 to 2020 he served as the German Ambassador in Pyongyang, North Korea.Heltmann’s diplomatic career began in 1988 when he joined the German Federal Foreign Office. The focus of his work during the following three decades has been East Asia. Apart from serving twice at the German Embassy in Tokyo, he was Head of the Trade Promotion Bureau at the German Embassy in China. He also served as Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Mongolia from 1994 to 1998 and at the German Embassy in the Philippines from 2007 to 2010.Between 2014 and 2018, Heltmann was Director of the Foreign, Security and Developmental Policy Division at the German Federal Press Office, where he was in charge of formulating the speaking notes for the Government Spokesperson on the German government's foreign, defense, and development policies.Heltmann double-majored in Geography and Japanese Studies at the University of Bonn, Germany.

Prior to that, he was working on EU trade policy at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Before joining the Foreign Office, he was a Senior Manager for the Business Dialogue (B20) of the German G20 Presidency 2017 and the Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (Federation of German Industries) with a focus on Trade & Digitalization as well as Global Governance.

His previous postings include the Southern Africa-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce. Before his career in the German Chambers Network abroad, he gained experience in a multinational company and a German strategy consulting firm.

He studied Political Science and Sinology in Leipzig, Beijing and Hong Kong and completed an MBA. Since 2007 Jens Hildebrandt has held various management positions in the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), i.e. as Head of the East Asia Department in Berlin and later as Delegate & Chief Representative of German Industry & Commerce in Guangzhou.

In October 2016, Dr. Sigrid Winkler was appointed Executive Chamber Manager at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai and is in charge of the membership organization at the Chamber. Dr. Winkler joined the German Chamber earlier in spring 2016, initially as Project Manager Social Responsibility where she was responsible for the More than a Market initiative. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Vienna University. Before joining the German Chamber, she was Head of Office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency (OeAD) in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.

and other regional NGOs to drive workplace inclusion initiatives. She has led an award-winning disability job fair in Hong Kong. Born in Hong Kong, Ivy is a strong LGBT+ ally. Since 2015, she has been working with numerous multinational companies in developing their LGBT+ initiatives in Hong Kong, Greater China and APAC. She led the Asia pioneering Hong Kong LGBT+ Workplace Inclusion Index, which is a benchmarking tool to measure companies’ LGBT+ inclusion effort at the workplace. Relocated to Shanghai in 2017, she is the co-lead of the ShanghaiPRIDE x Out & Equal China Forum, an annual LGBT+ workplace inclusion forum in China, and the Pride Job Fair. She is part of the driving force for LGBT+ workplace inclusion in China.

Charlene Liu was born in Malaysia and has lived in the US, Singapore, and now Shanghai, China. She is an engineer, a social change maker, and a community builder. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BSc in Electrical Engineering and has 20 years of working experience in different areas of the Semiconductor & Electronics industry, ranging from design, engineering, manufacturing, project management to sales and marketing. She has also experience with events, corporate innovation, and management consulting at PwC.Charlene has 16 years of community leadership, commercial event management, and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) advocacy experience. In 2009, she co-founded ShanghaiPRIDE, an annual festival run entirely by volunteers that promotes diversity, in 2014 Q-Events, an event management company, in 2016 Ladies Who Tech, a social impact community for women in STEM, and in 2019 D&I Consulting. Charlene is now embarking on a full-time journey in creating an inclusive workplace for all in Greater China and in the region.

Darick represented ShanghaiPRIDE at the Asia Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance (APQFFA) at Sydney Mardi Gras, Hamburg Pride, and the 2019 New York City World Pride. She was invited to join the LA LGBT Center leadership program as well as the Queer Asia film program in London. In 2014, she and team ShanghaiPRIDE were awarded Shanghai Hero by Time Out Shanghai, and in 2018, Best Event Organizer in East China by Huodongxing.

She has introduced two cases of barrier-free transformation in office area carried out by the company she worked for, which received more than 400,000 views on Internet. Also, she has been interviewed by over 20 media, including: Communist Youth League, NHK, AFP and Doctor Dingxiang. In March 2021, she became a full-time blogger, dedicated to helping people with disabilities better integrate into society.
