Mr. Zheng Bijian is a well known theorist and strategist in China. He served as Executive Vice Minister of Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee and Executive Vice President of CPC Central Party School, and was a member of the central committee of the fourteenth and fifteenth CPC Congress. Now he is the Chairman of China Institute for Innovation and Development Strategy, Director of the Academic Committee of the Central Party School, Dean of the College of Humanities of the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chairman of China Sciences and Humanities Forum, Senior Advisor to the China Institute for International Strategic Studies, and Senior Advisor to the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs.
Chaobin Yang currently serves as President of 5G Product Line and is responsible for strategic planning, development and delivery of Huawei's 5G solutions, bringing the next generation of wireless technology to a hyper-connected society.
Prior to this role, Mr. Yang was Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Huawei Wireless Network Product Line where he was responsible for strategic planning and marketing activities for Huawei's wireless product portfolio. Mr. Yang led the planning and R&D teams and collaborated with key industry partners worldwide to promote the healthy development of the industry chain and universal applications, accelerating the proliferation of 3G and 4G networks. He was also the founder of Huawei's Mobile Innovation Center, and inventor of the industry pioneering SingleRAN solution.
Mr. Yang joined Huawei in 1998, working on UMTS signal processing algorithms. In 2000, he became the head of Huawei Wireless Research, where he made significant contributions to the evolution of WCDMA/HSPA/LTE. From 2008 to 2011, He served as the head of Huawei's LTE Product Line and Huawei’s R&D center in Sweden.
Mr. Yang received a Master's degree in Telecommunications from University of Science and Technology of China in 1998.
Xian-Sheng Hua is now a VP/Distinguished Engineer of Alibaba Group, leading the Artificial Intelligence Center and City Brain Lab of DAMO Academy. Dr. Hua is an IEEE Fellow and ACM Distinguished Scientist. He received his B.S. degree in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics in 2001, both from Peking University, Beijing, China. He joined Microsoft Research Asia in 2001, as a Researcher. He was a Principal Research and Development Lead in Multimedia Search for the Microsoft search engine, Bing, USA, from 2011 to 2013. He was a Senior Researcher with Microsoft Research Redmond from 2013 to 2015.
He has authored or coauthored more than 200 research papers and has 60 granted patents. His research interests include big multimedia data search, advertising, understanding, and mining, as well as pattern recognition and machine learning. Dr. Hua served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Trans. on Multimedia and ACM Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Technology. He served as a Program Co-Chair for IEEE ICME 2013, ACM Multimedia 2012, and IEEE ICME 2012. He was one of the recipients of the 2008 MIT Technology Review TR35 Young Innovator Award for his outstanding contributions on video search. He was the recipient of the Best Paper Awards at ACM Multimedia 2007, and Best Paper Award of the IEEE Trans. on CSVT in 2014.Dr. Hua will be serving as general co-chair of ACM Multimedia 2020.
Mr. CHANG Yu is Director of Media and Communications and Deputy Director of Opening and Closing Ceremonies at the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. He is also Deputy Director of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee's Publicity Department. He holds engineering and law degrees from Tsinghua University, and a law degree from University of Liverpool. In addition to communications and ceremonies, Mr. Chang also oversees Beijing 2022’s innovation projects, including cloud-powered broadcasting and smart venues.
