Ayesha Wharton is the Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Her substantive position at the Embassy is that of Counsellor. She has worked in the Trinidad and Tobago Foreign Service for almost 15 years.
She has a BA in Political Science and Economics from McGill University, a Post Graduate diploma in International Relations from the University of the West indies and a M.A. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts, University.
She has served in the High Commission for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Pretoria, South Africa, and the Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Beijing, People’s Republic of China. She is committed to the development and empowerment of young women to take up positions of leadership.
She has lived in China for the past 7 years and was part of the team that came to establish the Embassy of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago in Beijing
