Eating Well in the Summer: A TCM Perspective
Debbie Ma M.D., Ph.D.

The first hour will focus on eastern perspectives for eating and living well. Dr. Ma, who is one of Beijing's leading experts on TCM, will share her knowledge of Chinese herbs, fruits, and vegetables and how we can use them to maintain good health in the summer. She will teach us about the seasonal produce that can be found in Beijing's local markets and discuss their nutritional benefits. In addition, we will cover how to treat a summer cold and summer digestion problems, and she will teach us how to make homemade ginger ale.

Our second hour will focus on western perspectives to nutrition. Brandon Trowbridge of GLO + Kitchen and Fitness will prepare an amazing, fresh tasting menu for us to enjoy. In addition he will talk to us about ways to maintain good health during Beijing's hot summers.
