HR Relocation Recently, an increasing number of foreign invested enterprises (FIEs) in China choose to relocate their business from first-tier cities which are generally subject to high operating expenses, strict regulations and fierce competition, to smaller cities with lower labor costs, tax incentives and less-saturated markets.
In the process of these business relocation, HR management is one of the most important and challenging parts that will determine the success of the relocation from both the cost-saving perspective and the internal operation perspective. In this seminar, David Niu, Dezan Shira & Associates’ Senior Manager of the Human Resource Department will introduce the different HR strategies that can be applied in the process of business relocation. David will compare the labor cost of different provinces in China and introduce some key HR related factors that will affect the relocation location selection. Then, he will introduce different employment settlement options and alert on the legal risks of these options.
