Liz Mohn represents the fifth generation of the Bertelsmann/Mohn family, owner of the Bertelsmann media group. She is vice-chair of the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Executive Board and its Board of Trustees. She is also chair of the Bertelsmann Verwaltungsgesellschaft Executive Board and a member of the Supervisory Board at Bertelsmann SE. She serves as president of the German Stroke Foundation, an organization she founded, and chairs the board of the Liz Mohn Foundation for Culture and Music. She also chairs the Board of Trustees of the Association of German Music Schools.

Bettina Schoen-Behanzin has 20 years of working experience in Asia leading operational business as well acting in corporate functions. From May 2001 to April 2008 she served as the Board Member of the German Chamber Shanghai, being Vice President from July 2005. Starting in March 2007 she implemented in cooperation with the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Shanghai the “Vocational Education System” for skilled workers and was a member of the “China Education Board”.

On 17th October 2016, Dr. Sigrid Winkler (温哥乐) was appointed executive chamber manager at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in political science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese studies from Vienna University. Before joining the Chamber, she was head of office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency OeAD in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.

In line with values laid out in the guiding principles of Freudenberg, she initiated and led a Summer Camp teaching program in a rebuilt Sichuan school after the 5.12.2008 Sichuan Earthquake. During the years of growing experience in both HR and social responsibility, she found out how long lasting social responsibility projects have increased the recognition, sense of belonging and employee engagement to the company.

Mr. Yang is a member of both U.S. China Young Leaders Forum and Asia-Europe Young Leaders Forum.

Richard Zhang is CEO of Kern-Liebers China Business Group, the first German-invested enterprise in Taicang. In 1995, he joined Kern-Liebers as General Manager, and developed the company from 7 to presently more than 1000 employees. Mr. Zhang currently also serves as Member of the Board of the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai and as Chairman of Taicang European Investment Enterprises Association (Taicang Roundtable, TRT). In his role for TRT, he is also involved in supporting the Sino-German Inclusion Factory Taicang. Furthermore, in 2001, under his guidance, Kern-Liebers established together with other German companies and the support of the AHK the Taicang German Technician Training Center, Taicang’s first German dual-system vocational training center. Richard Zhang also acts as Chairman of its Board. Mr Zhang is a graduate from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
