Born in China and raised in the U.S., Michelle later returned to Beijing with a firm belief in the independence and support young women should have while trying to grow their own careers and life experiences in China. Thus, Sorority China was founded on the principle of a mutually supportive sisterhood community to “let now women feel alone,” since then Michelle and her team have opened two projects in Shanghai with a third to open in early 2018 in Beijing.
Prior to embarking on her own start-up, Michelle led overseas investment for Chinese capital in the Fashion and Retail industry, was Head of China for leading U.K.-based CEO leadership development firm Xinfu, and was responsible for training and customer satisfaction programs at Mercedes-Benz.
Cheryl was born in Northeast China, and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from UC Davis, Cheryl moved back to China in 2012. By launching her first PR and Events company, she expanded her networking base throughout Beijing and Shanghai.
In 2016, she joined Wework as the first employee in Beijing.
