"The Woman Who Redefined Humanity"

Even though Dr. Jane Goodall has been described by National Geographic as the woman who redefined humanity, her journey has been anything but easy. Nearly 60 years ago, when Jane Goodall first set foot onto the shores of what is today Tanzania's Gombe National Park to begin her pioneering study in the lives of chimpanzees, she was met with a lot of resistance.

She struggled in a male-dominated scientific community and had to overcome widely held misbeliefs about the behavior of primates. But her resilience shown through and her love for all living things helped her lead a revolution in the way that we view nature and conservation today.

Her tireless efforts to improve the Earth's environment have not only made her a leading expert on chimpanzees, but also earned her the honorary title of Dame Royal and UN Messenger of Peace. Join us on a journey to rediscover her legendary 60-year journey through a documentary screening and discussion.
