Mr. Pit Heltmann took over the management of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai in July 2021 and has over 30 years of working experience in the professional services.
He has received his education at Bonn University (Germany) and Nagoya University (Japan). He holds M.A. degree (Japanese Studies) and Dipl. Geogr. (Geography) of Bonn University.
Mr. Heltmann has a wealth of diplomatic experience. His diplomatic career began in 1988 when he joined the German Federal Foreign Office. The focus of his work during the following three decades has been East Asia, where he held various positions in Japan, Mongolia, China and the Philippines. In 1990-1994, Mr. Heltmann was Second Secretary, Press Officer, in charge of domestic politics and protocol in German Embassy in Tokyo. Afterwards, he has been working and living in Ulan Bator, Mongolia as First Secretary, Deputy Chief of Mission in German Embassy (1994-1998). From 2001 to 2004, he served as Counsellor, Head of the Trade Promotion Bureau in Beijing, China. Then from July,2004, Mr. Heltmann was the Deputy Director, Bilateral Cultural Relations Division for the Americas, Africa and Asia of Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Then he served as Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission of German Embassy in Manila, Philippines (2007-2010). Between 2014 and 2018, he was Director of the Foreign, Security and Developmental Policy Division at the German Federal Press Office, where he coordinated the external presentation of the German government's foreign, defense, and development policy. From 2018 to 2020, he served as German Ambassador in Pyongyang, North Korea. Finally, Mr. Heltmann took over the management of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai in July 2021.

Dr. XU Niansha was born in April 1957 in Beijing. He is a Professor of Senior Engineer and received a Ph.D. in Economics from Peking University and a Ph.D. in Commercial and Civil Law from China University of Political Science and Law.
Mr. Xu is President of China Machinery Industry Federation, a member of CPPCC (National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference) and its Foreign Affairs Committee. Dr. XU Niansha holds concurrent posts as the outside director of COFCO, the Executive Board member of ICC (International Chamber of Commerce) as well as the Co-Chair of Integrity and Compliance Taskforce of the B20.

Bettina Schoen-Behanzin speaks Chinese fluently and has around 25 years of work experience in Asia, mostly in China, leading operational business as well as managing corporate functions. As the Regional Representative Asia for Freudenberg Group, she has been leading the Regional Corporate Center and providing guidance and support for strategic planning and business development for the Freudenberg Business Groups in the region since 2012.
In May 2021, she was elected as the Vice President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and the Chair of the Shanghai Chapter. From April 2016 to May 2020, she served as the Chair of the Board of German Chamber Shanghai.
In 2019, she became the first German woman to receive the Gold Magnolia Award from the Shanghai Municipal Government.
Director, NISCI Computational and Visual Education Lab
Pascal Wolff is an Assistant Professor of the MIT Global SCALE Network’s Ningbo China Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (NISCI), and a Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics. Before that, he was a Research Associate at the Bosch-Chair of Global Supply Chain Management at Tongji University, China. His previous professional work includes working with BorgWarner Turbo Systems on process optimization and sales planning and Volkswagen Group China on new vehicle projects and production planning.
As part of his academic activities, he has conducted various research projects with partners in the automotive and logistics industry. Pascal’s research interests encompass various topics in the fields of operations, logistics, and supply chain management. His current research focuses on the digital transformation of supply chains. In particular, he investigates how data-driven technologies can be leveraged to improve supply chain planning and logistics operations. Moreover, he explores the design of smart warehouses.
Pascal published his research in international journals such as Omega and presented it at international conferences (INFORMS, POMS). He also serves as a reviewer for journals such as the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management (IJPDLM) and OR Spectrum.
Pascal obtained his doctorate double-degree in Supply Chain Management / Management Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, and Tongji University, China.

David von Schwerin manages one of Röhlig Logistics' largest global branches. A family-owned third-party logistics provider founded in Germany, Röhlig offers customised global solutions across sea freight, air freight, rail freight and contract logistics. David's educational background includes qualifications in Asia Studies, Management and Chinese Language earned in both Konstanz and Nanjing. Following his graduation he settled in Shanghai permanently in 2008, holding various management positions in the logistics and freight forwarding industry prior to joining Röhlig Logistics in 2018. Throughout his time at the company he has played a valuable role in building the China sales strategy, later becoming Shanghai Branch Manager in 2019.

Wang jie, is a supply chain manager of Trützschler Textile Machinery Shanghai Co. Ltd and has almost 25 years working for Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprises focus on Planning/Purchasing/Logistics. He graduated from Department of Trade and Economics, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He worked for several Fortune 500 Enterprises in Supply Chain Management and had over 15 years’ supply chain management experience in the segmentation of Machinery.

In 2008, Ms. Zhu Qing joined the Bosch Group. She served in various functions in logistics, manufacturing ,purchasing and executive office. In 2014, she became head of logistics in powertrain solution business unit. In 2018, she joined the global service logistics at the Bosch headquarters in Shanghai, here she worked in different functions assumed the responsibility of setting up foreign trade shared service center and digital transformation. Since July 2022, Ms. ZHU Qing serves as Director Global Service Logistics with responsibility of transportation management for APAC.Ms. ZHU Qing holds MBA degree in supply chain management from University of Texas in the United States of America.

Roland Falder is a founding partner of EMPLAWYERS, a German law boutique focusing solely on the representation of employers and labour and employment law. Previously he has spent more than 20 years in two international law firms. He is specialized in cross-border employment issues and advisers clients on the establishment of (international) compliance systems. Other areas of expertise are pension systems and their adjustment in times of demographic and financial challenges and collective co-determination issues.

Roland Falder currently lives in South East Asia and frequently travels between Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Recently he co-published one of the first book (in German) on the new Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz (German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act).

Michael joined Rittal Germany in 2007. In 2010, he moved to Rittal China, where he acted in several leadership roles, such as Industrial Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Work Preparation, Logistics and Sales Operations. From 2016, he took over the role as Vice President Operations, driving process improvements from customer to customer. While establishing overall lean transformation, Rittal China has been recognized as “best practice partner” of Staufen. After graduation, Yin has worked in Beijing Hoisting and Transportation Machinery Research Institute for many years, successively held the positions of deputy director and director of Computer Research Department, Deputy director of Logistics Engineering Department, Director of Market Department 2, deputy chief engineer and so on.
