北京师范大学外国语言文学学院现任北京师范大学外国语言文学学院教授；兼任教育部高等学校外语专业教学指导委员会英语分委员会委员、国家基础教育课程教材专家委员会委员、教育部英语课程标准研制专家组核心成员、中国教育学会外语专业委员会副理事长、《中小学外语教学》主编。主要研究方向包括功能语言学、外语教育、外语教师教育等。

He currently serves as Senior Teacher Trainer in National Geographic Learning.
