Vicky Xie is the Global Cooperation Director at Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab (SZOIL). Earlier, she started off her career in the international department of Shenzhen Industrial Design Association. In the past few years, she played a key role to build up the first Fablab Makerspace in Shenzhen. Fascinated by creating new techniques herself, she became one of the first mentors of Fab Academy. She llearned to design, create prototypes and develop hardware projects. At SZOIL, she facilitated collaboration between the international maker community and the Greater Bay Area.
Vicky has been offering innovation courses and facilicating social innovation programs related to sustainable development in universities and companies, as well as designing innovation-camp plans and innovation-tour plans for many world's top 500 enterprises. She also works closely with business incubators and accelerators across the world, and help them implant their ideas into prototype as well as products.
