Cress was the winner of Chengdu StartupWeekend #6. Since then she has been an enthusiast of StartupWeekend. As a startup herself, Cress believes in Entrepreneurship and is convinced that educational events like StarupWeekend can deliver true entrepreneur mindset in the community.

Harriet graduated from SOAS (University of London) with a BA in Chinese and Economics. She then went on to work at a female led, London tech incubator, specializing in fertility tech and other lifestyle apps.
Harriet is passionate about newly emerging start-up environments, and has experience working in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and London before settling in Chengdu – where she runs new media and marketing agency, Chengdu-Expat. In the last year she has designed campaigns for national and international heavyweights such as Adidas, BMW, and DiDi Chuxing.
Harriet is also the Co-founder of the Chengdu Women in Business Network – a platform for women, by women, which seeks to connect, empower and educate. The network is focused on supporting female leaders in business, creative industries, and public service through sharing industry know-hows and resources, workshops, and professional development content. It now has almost 500 members.
