"Olives, Spain's Superfood" campaign brings together Chinese consumers and professionals to celebrate the flavours, diversity, and versatility of Spanish olives, blending Chinese and Spanish culinary traditions. In addition to sharing key information about Spanish olives, the campaign will introduce creative recipes, offering the opportunity to explore the rich traditions of Spanish culture and cuisine, and to gain a deeper understanding of the Spanish way of life.
The exquisite olive-inspired menu created by "Olives, Spain's Superfood" campaign will be delivered by Javier Estรฉvez, a Spanish Michelin chef. The Michelin Star Chef Dinner presents a great opportunity to explore the abundant nutrition, rich flavours, and diverse uses of olives through dishes of pure Mediterranean! You will also gain an overview of the campaign "Olives, Spain's Superfood" and insights into how it can change mindsets and make an impact in the Chinese market.
The invited chef, Javier Estรฉvez, started his career in several prestigious Spanish fine dining restaurants. In 2015, he opened his own restaurant, La Tasquerรญa, in Madrid. He was honored with a Michelin star in 2019, 2020, 2024 and 2025.
The venue chosen to host the dinner is Grand Hyatt Chengdu, located in the heart of the city with great environment. Guests will have a relaxing Tuesday night and be able to enjoy delicious and nutritious gourmet creations, featuring different types of Spanish olives. This will surely be an unforgettable experience full of Spanish charm!
"Olives, Spain's Superfood" campaign is co-commissioned by the Spanish Foreign Trade Development and Investment Agency (ICEX) and the Interprofessional Organization of Table Olives (INTERACEITUNA) and focuses on increasing awareness about one of the most precious Spanish treasuresโnutritious and delicious olivesโamong consumers and professionals in China.
