Liz Mohn represents the fifth generation of the Bertelsmann/Mohn family, owner of the Bertelsmann media group. She is vice-chair of the Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Executive Board and its Board of Trustees. She is also chair of the Bertelsmann Verwaltungsgesellschaft Executive Board and a member of the Supervisory Board at Bertelsmann SE. She serves as president of the German Stroke Foundation, an organization she founded, and chairs the board of the Liz Mohn Foundation for Culture and Music. She also chairs the Board of Trustees of the Association of German Music Schools.

Over the last more than 20 years, Thilo has been collecting rich executive management experience in the entire business value chain including sales, marketing, R&D, operations, finance, HR talent management as well as SCR. He has been holding executive and board positions in the B2B and B2C environment of S&P 500 as well as medium-sized enterprises. As the co-founder of the Taicang Roundtable industrial association back in 2006, his passion for SCR took shape in various projects mainly in Taicang/Jiangsu. Beginning of 2015, Thilo’s social engagement ambitions summitted in the establishment of the Inclusion Factory, a protected environment providing intellectually disabled individuals with meaningful working and development opportunities under real market conditions. As a business professional, Thilo is responsible for the North Asia business of HUBER+SUHNER a Swiss public listed enterprise specialized in connectivity solutions for demanding transportation, communication and industrial applications.
Before joining the foundation, Mr. Bartsch spent more than a decade in China working as an East Asia.
Correspondent for major German media, working as a journalist for German business weekly “Wirtschaftswoche,” daily newspapers “Neue Zuercher Zeitung” and “Berliner Zeitung,” and the business journal “brand eins” reporting about political, social, economic and cultural issues in China, Japan, South and North Korea as well as other countries in East Asia. In 2013, Bernhard Bartsch joined Bertelsmann Stiftung’s Asia team where he continues to wrap his brain around the political, economic and social developments in Asia and their impact on Germany and Europe.
Ms. Bettina Schön-Behanzin is the Chairwoman of the German Chamber of China - Shanghai and the Regional Representative Asia of the Freudenberg Group. She entered Freudenberg Group in October 2012 and leads the Freudenberg Corporate Centre Asia, based in Shanghai, PR China.
Bettina Schoen-Behanzin has 20 years of working experience in Asia leading operational business as well acting in corporate functions. From May 2001 to April 2008 she served as the Board Member of the German Chamber Shanghai, being Vice President from July 2005. Starting in March 2007 she implemented in cooperation with the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Shanghai the “Vocational Education System” for skilled workers and was a member of the “China Education Board”.
Mr. Titus Von dem Bongart qualified as German Attorney-at- Law in 1996. After working 10 years for other Big 5 companies, he joined EY Shanghai as a Partner in 2006. He is a lecturer for Chinese Tax at the University of Hamburg as well as the Tongji University in Shanghai. He has been the Chairman of the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai from 2010 to 2016.
Since 20 years, Titus von dem Bongart has regularly advised clients on various matters related to their China investment, e.g. the restructuring of their China stet-up/ China impact of international restructurings including supply chain models and other changes He deals with various matters related to different areas of foreign investment in China, e.g. forex, permanent establishments, tax compliance, tax efficiency and incentives Titus is a frequent speaker related to China tax matters and regularly publishes relevant articles He has served all Dax 30 companies with investment in China as well as a big number of medium sized and small scale companies in different industries.
Dr. Winkler joined the German Chamber in 2016 and worked initially as project manager Social Responsibility and was responsible for the More than a Market initiative. On 17th October 2016, Dr. Sigrid Winkler (温哥乐) was appointed executive chamber manager at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in political science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese studies from Vienna University. Before joining the Chamber, she was head of office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency OeAD in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.
Anniwa Abulizi is the Senior Product Localization Expert, SAP senior Design Thinking coach and Business Model Innovation coach. He holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the City University of Hong Kong. In 2014, he co-founded and led the Design thinking volunteer team in Shanghai to provide Design Thinking consulting. Furthermore, he has conducted over 100 workshops for NGOs, non-profit organizations, universities and Entrepreneurs in China.

Mr. Francesco INGARSIA is Chief Financial Officer at Schaeffler Holding (China) Co., Ltd. responsible for the financial activities of the Schaeffler Group in the region Greater China. Mr. Ingarsia started his career in the field of audit and tax consulting for Rödl & Partner, then joined Schaeffler Group in 2002 in the Corporate Internal Audit. Prior to working in China, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Schaeffler Group in Australia from 2006 to 2009. Mr. Ingarsia is a guest lecturer at the MBA School of Business at the East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai.
Mr. Tony LIU is EHS Director at Schaeffler Greater China. In his role he is responsible for the EHS activities in the region. Tony joined Schaeffler in 2016 and has more than 20 years experience in the field of environmental protection, health and safety related matters. He started his professional career in the field of EHS for KONE Elevators in Shanghai, then joined UPM Kymmene (China) Co., Ltd. for 17 years as plant EHS, regional EHS and project EHS. He holds a master degree in environmental engineering and he is a National first grade firefighting engineer, National first grade certified constructor and National OHSAS18001 auditor.
Anika Christophe joined Deustche Leasing China as General Manager in May 2016 after being already overseeing the company while still being the Managing Director of Deutsche Leasing Iberica.
Having broad financing experience around the world in corporate banking, syndication, structure finance and asset based finance, the transition to leasing was a natural step.
Although China is the 6th country where Ms. Christophe has worked in, it gives an Asianflavor to her career experience, which includes South and North America and manydifferent countries in Europe.
Before joining Deutsche Leasing Group, Ms. Christophe has worked for The First National Bank of Boston, Banesto, Dresdner Bank and ING Leasing.

Helen Xie is Chief Operating Officer of SAP Labs China. Other than running

Nadav is a social entrepreneur who has been working with NGO's and governmental sectors in various social programs and sustainability projects. Nadav is specializing in projects that are focusing on the inclusion of the "other" back into the society. In 2011 Nadav initiated projects which aim at supporting elderly African communities through unique agricultural farms; In 2013 Nadav initiated and executed projects for the re-integration of under-privileged youth through employment opportunities and vocational training and from March 2015 he has been managing the first industrial workshop in China for the inclusion of intellectually challenged individuals in Taicang, Jiangsu province.

Zoye Chen is a consultant at Systain and operates in the China
team. She is a master graduate in corporate responsibility and
sustainable development and an expert in working conditions
and human rights as well as environmental protection in production facilities. Her experiences cover supply chain risk management referring to social compliance, product quality control
and environmental protection. She is very experienced in project
management and operation management as well as various
capacity development and training schemes. At Systain she

Mr. Peng Jilai is a Partner at SynTao. He has years of CSR consultancy experiences and has served many corporate clients. He is professional with CSR strategy and planning, CSR internal & external communication, CSR report training and writing, CSR program planning, monitoring and evaluation. Mr. Zhang Weicai studied at Department of Biology, Xiamen University. In 2009, he participated in Dream Lab Challenge organized by Cultural and Education Section British Embassy as XMU’s team captain and achieved National Top 5. Then Weicai pursued a master’s degree in Biodiversity and Conservation at University of Leeds. During 2013 to 2014, he planned the 5th China Solid Waste Management Summit. Giana joined Legal Centre ForNGO since its establishment in 2012. Giana designs and leads most research projects of ForNGO. Giana is the author of ‘Guidelines on NGO’s Labour Law Practices and Risk Control’ and a co-author of '2012 Report on the Development of Philanthropic Laws in China', Annual Report on China’s Civic Philanthropy Development (2012), 'Law Manual for NGOs in China (2014 Edition)’Charity Law Handbook (supported by UNDP in 2018).
Giana frequently publishes articles on NGO-related legal matters on publications and websites, and provides NGO-related legal services to multinational companies with headquarters in US or Europe.
Charlene Liu was born in Malaysia and has lived in the US, Singapore, and now Shanghai.
She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BSc in
Electrical Engineering and has 20 years of working experience in different areas of the electronics and semiconductor industry, ranging from design, engineering, manufacturing to sales. Charlene is currently consultant manager at PwC.
Aside from her profession, Charlene has 13 years of social
entrepreneurship and commercial event management experience in
China. In 2009, she co-founded ShanghaiPRIDE, an annual festival run entirely by volunteers that promotes diversity, in 2014 Q-Events, an event management company, and in 2016 Ladies Who Tech, a networking community for women in STEM. Charlene spends her free time organizing events and managing the planning, operations, finance, and sponsorship of these platforms.
In 2014, she and team ShanghaiPRIDE were awarded Shanghai Hero by Time Out Shanghai, and in 2018, Best Event Organizer in East China by Huodongxing.
Passionate about ecology and how to lead change within businesses and societies to align with the environmental challenges the world is facing, she has been working in China for the last 5 years, to promote a vision of business that is more meaningful and impactful. Mr Oliver Yang is Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation. He is in charge of strategy development, policy planning, external communication and advocacy. Mr Yang also leads the collaboration between multinationals and SSCLF on CSR and sustainable development agenda. He works closely with the central and local government, Chinese think-tanks, NGOs and companies to smooth communication channels and cement the relations between government authorities and business community through strategic and institutional approach. Mr Yang is a member of both U.S. China Young Leaders Forum and Asia-Europe Young Leaders Forum.
Prior to joining the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in March 2003, Matthias Schäfer worked at the ministries of finance of the state of Berlin and Baden-Württemberg in the department of budget control and taxation. Before, he was junior consulter at Public Sector of Kienbaum Consulting in Düsseldorf (Germany) and junior auditor at Coopers & Lybrand in Frankfurt (Germany). Before becoming Chief Representative in China Shanghai, Matthias Schäfer was head of the team Economic Policy in the Think Tank department Politics and Consulting of Konrad Adenauer-Foundation in Berlin.
In August 2017, Dr Althauser was appointed Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai. She grew up in Land Baden-Württemberg in Germany. After studying Political Science, Slavic Languages and Literature and Sinology in Heidelberg, Taiwan, Moscow and Luxembourg, she joined the Federal Foreign Office in 1985. She was posted to the German Embassy in Beijing from 1987 to 1990. From 1990 until 1993, she worked at the USSR/Russia desk at Federal Foreign Office headquarters in Bonn. She was subsequently posted to the German Embassies in The Hague and in Moscow. She has been seconded to the Policy Planning Staff at the Federal Ministry of Defence in Berlin, has been posted to the Permanent Representations of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union in Brussels and to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and has served as Head of the Crisis Prevention Division at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Ms Althauser received her doctoral degree from Heidelberg University and has lectured in Political Science at Freiburg University while working at the Federal Foreign Office’s Economic Affairs Directorate-General. Prior to her assignment in Shanghai, Dr Althauser was Head of the Press Section at the German Embassy in Moscow and also served as Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Skopje (Macedonia) for three years.
Born in Jiangsu in 1971, Yuki Tan is a Chinese business entrepreneur with extensive experience in the Chinese retail market. After completing a degree in Business Administration followed by a degree in English at Beijing University, she created one of China’s most successful fashion retail businesses, Pilion Trading Co. (Shanghai) Limited. Launched in 2002, the company has been exclusively responsible for introducing the Folli Follie and Links of London fashion brands to the Chinese market. Headquartered in Shanghai with approximately 350 employees and 80 points of sale, the company was sold to its foreign partners in 2010. Yuki successfully introduced several fashion brands through a large national network of directly owned and managed points of sale. She has subsequently been recognized multiple times by leading organizations and media for her outstanding business skills: She was named one of the “100 Most Successful Female Leaders in China” by Women of China magazine. She was also chosen one of the “Top 10 Influential Females in China” by a national readers poll on sina.com, one of the “Top 10 Opinion Leaders in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan” by Guerlain, LVMH Group, and one of the “Top 10 Female Role Models” by Cosmopolitan magazine. In addition, Business Weekly named her one of the “Top 25 Business Women in China.” Today Yuki focuses on overseeing a diverse group of business interests as Chairwoman of Isthmus Resources Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based market-leading oil and gas consultancy firm. Further, she is the chairwoman of Asprey (China) Ltd., a company active in in the luxury goods sector in China. She has been a member of the jury for the More than a Market Awards since 2016.
