Jovanka Dorovic is an artist and architect based in Beijing with wide spectrum of interests.
Regardless her profession as an architect, Jovanka has always developed extracurricular projects, which included art and sustainability. During her studies in Italy, she had participated in plentiful workshops, publications and exhibitions in Milan, Italy.
Since she arrived to China in 2015, Jovanka has collaborated continuously on numerous workshops and courses with 798 Art+ community, Greenpeace and Beijing Today Art Museum, and focused on developing creative courses and trainings.
Jovanka is currently the leader of Eco-Art Challenge project, as part of Global Shapers network under World Economic Forum. This year, Jovanka launched her newest series of installation called “Contemporary Anatomy of Marine Creatures”. This resulted with Greenpeace Southeast Asia collaboration visualizing consequences of single-use plastic pollution on our environment.
One of her greatest accomplishments has been supervising the architectural development of Cultural Centre of Republic of Serbia in Beijing (798 district) since this project promotes the cultural exchange between two nations, her home country and China.
