[Fully Booked] Workshop Production & Logistics: “Smart Logistics in China”

Mr. Xiaolong Hu grew up in China and has spent many years living in Germany. Since 2003 Xiaolong Hu has worked for various technology oriented management consultancies. His present consulting work focuses on Industrie 4.0 strategies, innovation management, operational excellence as well as on managing large implementation projects in a cross-cultural context.

Armin is a project manager focusing on logistics with cross-industry experience in factory layout planning, warehouse layout planning & optimization and in plant material flow/replenishment concepts. His expertise comes from projects within the automotive (OEM & supplier) and environmental engineering industries. Some project references within warehouse and factory layout planning include planning and implementation of new warehouses for several automotive suppliers in China and factory layout design and warehouse concept planning for relocation of a production plant to India. Other references within the sector include production line relocation for an international 1st tier supplier and design of a component freight network concept for increased efficiency and cost transparency.

During his 30 years career at Schaeffler, Mr. Hans-Peter Roesch mastered various challenges and changes. Starting in IT department, focusing on production automation system (UNIX based) in the “CIM era”, later was a core team member in SAP solution development and delivered full scope rollouts in Germany and China. He gained extensive experience and applied proven methods in the field of integrating business and IT, especially in production and logistics, applying lean concepts and solutions. Hans-Peter worked in various regions and projects, at Schaeffler headquarters in Germany, in East Europe (Slovakia, Romania) and spent over 9 years in China, with Asia Pacific scope and projects in Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and India. Recently he developed and implemented Process and IT solution (SAP-EWM based) in automated distribution centers in Italy and Germany.
And finally he returned to China again to focus on Production Logistics, Operations strategy, SCM process and organizational set up (based on SCOR).
