Corinne Abele has been living and working in China for nearly 20 years. During this time the journalist and economist has accompanied China´s economic development with analyses, articles and lectures. A big part of her work focuses on the observation and analysis of innovation-driven technology markets and the industrial digitalization in China. Other main topics are environmental protection, sustainable mobility, engineering and competition in China.
Since 2014 Corinne Abele has been heading the Trade Information Section of Germany Trade and Invest in Shanghai. Before she worked in the same position in Beijing (2004-2012) and in Taipei (1998-2004).

Born and raised in Heilbronn, Mrs. Abele has graduated from the University of Tübingen in economics (Diploma) and East European History (MA) with a scholarship of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. She was also a scholar of Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach-Stiftung, which enabled her to study Chinese at the Nanjing University in 1992/93.

Elisabeth Staudinger is currently President of the Asia Pacific region for Siemens Healthineers, based in Shanghai. Elisabeth joined Siemens in 1998 and has held several roles with increasing responsibility spanning procurement, strategy, manufacturing and R&D. Prior to relocating to the Asia Pacific region Elisabeth was global CEO of the Refurbished Systems Business of Siemens Healthineers.

Elisabeth has been closely connected to China since 1991, studying at both Nanjing and Peking Universities. In 1997, she spent some time working with ‘Advantage Austria’ the Austrian trade promotion organization in Beijing. After joining Siemens, she headed an international procurement office from 1999-2002 in Shanghai, returning briefly in 2004, and has been in her current role since 2018.

Elisabeth studied Sinology and Economics in Vienna, Nanjing, and Beijing and holds a master’s degree in both subjects. Since 2019, she has been an active board member of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed).

Dr. Changizi is licensed with the Medical Council of Canada and is board-certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada, a member of the Quebec Medical Association. He is a frequent invited lecturer at Peking University and Tsinghua University, addressing issues on medical ethics, work/life balance, substance abuse, and gender equality.

Dr. Changizi has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Public Health. He has participated in international medical disaster relief activities in China and Latin America and is an active United Nations physician and consultant on pandemic outbreaks. For more than ten years, Dr. Changizi served as Chair of the United Family Healthcare Department of Infection Control. Currently, he is the Chair of Beijing United Family Hospital’s Center for Family Medicine and Integrative Healthcare. He co-authored a chapter for the China CDC’s 2018 Travel Yellow Book.

Dr. Changizi speaks English, French, Persian, Spanish, and Mandarin.

In October 2016, Dr. Sigrid Winkler was appointed Executive Chamber Manager at the German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai and is in charge of the membership organization at the Chamber. Dr. Winkler joined the German Chamber earlier in spring 2016, initially as Project Manager Social Responsibility where she was responsible for the More than a Market initiative. Dr. Winkler holds a PhD in Political Science from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Vienna University. Before joining the German Chamber, she was Head of Office of the Austrian Academic Exchange Agency (OeAD) in Shanghai. Previously, Dr. Winkler managed international business development projects in China and Eastern Europe for Business Upper Austria, the economic agency of the regional government of Upper Austria. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on EU-China relations, and since 2002, she has been regularly coming back to China for shorter and longer-term stays.
