In honor of #SGWomen Leaders Month at StartupGrindU, the PKU StartupGrindU chapter in collaboration with the Yenching Academy Tech & VC Club is hosting Academia to Entrepreneurship: Transforming Research into an Innovative Product. Our speaker is Yaoli Wang 王瑶莉, a postdoctoral researcher at Peking University's Spatial-Social Sensing Lab.
Along with her research, she works with AngelHack as a Beijing community lead ambassador. The host is Katja Kleindeinst, who is one of the directors of StartGrindU Beijing and the founder of German Innovators.
During our fireside chat, we'll be discussing how to transition from conducting academic research to coming up with your own innovative business idea.
- What are the challenges you face as an academic researcher?
- How do you sell your business idea to potential investors?
- How do you use your data to your advantage?
Come enjoy what will surely be an engaging conversation and a great opportunity to gain some exposure to Beijing's vibrant startup ecosystem. Hope to see you Thursday evening!
