“社会神经科学”是神经科学的一个新兴领域,涉及发展适应性行为中的大脑开发。这些行为是基于在身体、情感、社交和社会层面上我们认为对生存至关重要的价值观。价值观是我们生活中认准的规则。它们被深深地植入了我们的信念,成为我们内在的一部分。它们决定着我们更倾向于哪一种结果。价值观主导思维,行为只是这种思维的外在表现。
我们的社会大脑有六种不同的方式来获取价值观、与他人联系并解读我们的世界。
iHEART是一个集成了神经、情感和社会的整合系统方法,旨在增加大脑的可塑性,使社会大脑中开通新的神经通路,以帮助我们演进我们的意识,使健康达到最优。它侧重于由神经系统控制的肌肉骨骼系统、身体器官及与其相互关联的生物化学功能之间的相互关系。这些系统由我们的情绪和价值观主导,由我们的睡眠调控,并由我们的意识状态所指导。
当前领导力发展中最为棘手的问题就在于:我们缺乏对于领导力坚实的"硬科学"研究基础,从而无法提出一个精准的干预(wise intervention)思路。随着对人脑的认识不断向纵深演进,开始为我们理解领导现象的心理乃至生理本质提供了一个思考枢纽(thinking hub)。例如,企业中高层往往需要同时扮演两类角色:管理者(manager)与领导者(leader)。今天的研究结果发现,中高层之所以难以平衡这两类角色,恰恰在于在其大脑中存在着两类截然不同的思维系统,分别对应于上述两个角色。这两个思维系统相互拮抗,构成了一个大脑跷跷板(neural seesaw),导致思维平衡难以实现。当我们能够理解这一现象,并据此调整自己的管理与领导工作,就可以实现领导力的提升。因此,我们呼唤企业的C-level人员与心理学家、行为科学家与神经科学家携手共进、相互交流,使得领导力真正跨越基础研究与实践应用的鸿沟,搭起一座"忧愁河上的金桥"。
