Since the pandemic, direct exchanges have decreased, and fewer German employees are sent to China, exacerbating the challenges. While leveraging local teams is beneficial, it is essential that headquarters continue to provide robust support, with effective communication being a key factor for success. The success of this relationship lies in cultural sensitivity, considering local needs, and harmonizing these with the capabilities of the HQs. Smooth exchanges and easy interactions are essential. Headquarters must learn to navigate dynamic markets, while subsidiaries need to address specific international concerns.
