Our everyday dietary decisions impact the environment, our health and the sustainability and future of animals. The percentage of people following a plant-based lifestyle is continuing to rise along with the awareness of the multitude of benefits it brings.
The German NGO ProVeg International estimates 1.3 million vegans and 8 million vegetarians are among Germany's 82 million population, around 10% of the population, which makes Germany the country with the highest rate of vegetarians in Europe. According to a report by Euromonitor, China's plant-based market is projected to be the fastest-growing market for vegan products between 2015 and 2020, with a growth rate of 17.2 percent.
