Clas Neumann is Global Head of the SAP Labs Network since 2009, and has been leading the Fast Growth Market Strategy team since 2013. In his role as Labs Head, Neumann acts as the central coordinator of all network activities. In his role as Head Fast Growth Market Strategy he leads the investments for SAP’s growth markets in Africa, China, Middle-East and Russia. Mr. Maximilian Butek has more than 10 years’ experience in the German Chambers Network Abroad. He assumed the role of Delegate and Chief Representative of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Guangzhou since 2018. Before that, Mr. Butek has served as Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana.
His previous postings include the Southern Africa-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce. Before his career in the German Chambers Network Abroad, he gained experience in a multinational company and a German strategy consulting firm.
Since August 2018, Jens Hildebrandt is heading the Delegation of German Industry & Commerce Beijing as Delegate & Chief Representative and Managing Director of the German Chamber of Commerce in North China. He studied Political Science and Sinology in Leipzig, Beijing and Hong Kong and completed an MBA. Since 2007 Jens Hildebrandt has held various management positions in the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), i.e. as Head of the East Asia Department in Berlin and later as Delegate & Chief Representative of German Industry & Commerce in Guangzhou.
Mr. Titus Von dem Bongart qualified as German Attorney-at- Law in 1996. After working 10 years for other Big 5 companies, he joined EY Shanghai as a Partner in 2006. He is a lecturer for Chinese Tax at the University of Hamburg as well as the Tongji University in Shanghai. He has been the Chairman of the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai from 2010 to 2016.
Since 20 years, Titus von dem Bongart has regularly advised clients on various matters related to their China investment, e.g. the restructuring of their China stet-up/ China impact of international restructurings including supply chain models and other changes He deals with various matters related to different areas of foreign investment in China, e.g. forex, permanent establishments, tax compliance, tax efficiency and incentives Titus is a frequent speaker related to China tax matters and regularly publishes relevant articles He has served all Dax 30 companies with investment in China as well as a big number of medium sized and small scale companies in different industries.
Brigitte Wolff is the President of EIM Executive Interim Management China, providing companies with experts for all kinds of functions and industries for permanent and interim positions, and has been working more than 18 years in China. During this period, she was a Partner at Booz&Company China (now PwC Strategy& China), MD and Partner of Management Engineers Business Consulting China and founder of Abacus Corporation Business Consulting China.
Since 2008 she is also a board member at the German Chamber of Commerce | Shanghai and its charity activities, such as the More than a Market initiative, working with German companies’ social engagement in China. Since 2017 she serves as a board member of the European Chamber of Commerce China in Shanghai. Prior to that she held management positions in Germany at Oliver Wyman and Constantia Packaging as well as Steinbeis Packaging.
She holds a German Engineer Diploma (Diplom-Ingenieur) from Technical University of Munich (TUM).
Mr. Martin Broda has more than 20 years of professional experience in Corporate Banking and an additional 7 years of Financial Advisory expertise with KPMG. He has extensive know-how on Financing, Financial Markets, and Financial Advisory for SMEs and multinational clients, both nationally and internationally. From 2013 to 2016 he has been General Manager of Commerzbank Beijing Branch and joint Country CEO China, being responsible for the Bank’s operations in Northwest-China.
Martin has continuously held a number of honorary positions sharing his expertise and professional network with the represented bodies. In Beijing, he had been elected for two terms as Member of the Board and Treasurer of the German Chamber of Commerce and German National Representative in the Supervisory Board of the European Chamber.
Since May 2019 Martin is Chief Representative and Head of China of LBBW, as such he is responsible for the current activities and particularly for the intended expansion of the Bank’s presence in the country.

Dr. Verena Schäfer is Head of Automated Driving at BMW China Services, responsible for developing and integrating software functions for automated driving in China. Working for 17 years in the automotive industry, she has extensive experience in Research and Development and has held various management positions in Electronics Division. With a PhD in innovation management she is keen to bring future technologies on the road.
As President Brose China, Jenny Xiang is responsible for the business development and management of Brose group in the Chinese market. She joined Brose in 1998 as Industrial Engineer in door system business division, and was later appointed as Operation Manager of Shanghai Brose Automotive Components, Director of Industrial Engineering and Logistics Brose Asia and General Manager of Shanghai Brose Electric Motors. Before assuming her presidency, she was Vice President Strategy Planning Brose Asia, responsible for merger and acquisition, joint venture negotiation and setup.
Jenny Xiang studied Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University, before earning her master’s degree at Dortmund University in Germany. She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) and Diploma in Management Program (DIMP) at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).
Richard Zhang is Member of the Board German Chamber of Commerce | Shanghai and CEO of KERN-LIEBERS China Business Group, the first German-invested enterprise in Taicang. In 1995, he joined KERN-LIEBERS as General Manager, and developed the company from 7 to presently more than 1200 employees. Mr. Zhang currently also serves as Member of the Board of the Germany Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai and as Chairman of Taicang European Investment Enterprises Association (Taicang Roundtable, TRT) and Taicang Engineering Association. In his role for TRT, he is also involved in supporting the Sino-German Inclusion Factory Taicang. Furthermore, in 2001, under his guidance, KERN-LIEBERS established together with other German companies and the support of the AHK the Taicang German Technician Training Center, Taicang’s first German dual-system vocational training center. He also acts as Chairman of its Board. Mr. Zhang is a graduate from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
