[Shanghai] GCC Business Confidence Survey:
Scepticism and Opportunities – German Businesses Sentiment on the Chinese Market
2019 was significantly affected by the US-China trade dispute, by a rising global tendency for rather protectionist economic policy moves paired with a decelerating global economy. Economic slowdown and political uncertainty pay tribute to a mixed year for German companies in China. How do German enterprises rate the business year 2019 and forecast the coming months? What has been achieved with regards to market opening and where do they see deficits? What are the opportunities and what issues challenge German companies operating in China? How does the US-China trade dispute impact business operations and which potential consequences are on the table?
This year more than 520 members across China shared their insights on these questions. Join us for an insightful morning session on 13th November on the occasion of the release of the German Chamber of Commerce's Business Confidence Survey 2019/2020. For the first time this year, the report was conducted in partnership with KPMG in Germany.
