2023 KIT-TRENT Innovation Day

尊敬的女士/先生：

With the support of the Environmental, Climate and Energy Department of the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and State Agency for Environmental Technology and Resource Efficiency Baden-Wuerttemberg (UTBW) have jointly established the Transnational Competence Center for Environmental Technology and Research Jiangsu Baden-Württemberg (TRENT). In addition to KIT and UTBW, the office of Baden-Württemberg International in Nanjing (BW_i Nanjing) and KIT China Branch (GAMI) provide support for the competence center with their influence in Jiangsu Province. The TRENT project systematically integrates the existing capabilities in the environmental science and technology field of Jiangsu Province and Baden-Württemberg to provide a platform for communication and exchange for universities, research institutes, public departments, and businesses in the two partner provinces.

在德国巴登符腾堡州环境、气候和能源部的支持下，卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院（KIT）携巴登符腾堡州环境技术和资源效率局（UTBW）共同筹建了江苏省-巴符州环境技术和研究跨国能力中心项目（简称碳达TRENT）。此外，德国巴符州国际经济和科技合作协会南京代表处与KIT中国研究院也将凭借其在江苏省的影响力为能力中心提供支持。碳达项目系统性地整合了江苏省和巴登符腾堡州环境科学领域的现有能力和技术，为两省州的高校、科研院所、公共部门和企业提供了交流与沟通的平台。

On July 7, 2021, the TRENT High-Level Event was successfully held at GAMI, marking the official launch of the TRENT in Jiangsu. Since then, the TRENT project team has held a series of activities to promote communication and cooperation between the two provinces in the environmental protection subdivision field:

• Sino-Germany Enterprise Workshop (in the fields of atmospheric pollution prevention and control, water treatment technology, waste recycling, and energy efficiency technology)
• China-Germany Circular Economy workshop
• TRENT Summer School on Lake Environment and Ecology (offering 11 professional course lectures and 4 cultural exchange lectures)
• Scientific Roundtable (on the application of bioeconomy and biotechnology in environmental protection, the resource utilization of agricultural waste biomass, and the resource utilization technology of waste straw biomass)
• TRENT Talk (in the fields of remanufacturing, atmospheric pollution prevention and control, water technology, and plastic recycling)

2021年7月7日碳达项目高端会议于KIT中国研究院成功举办，标志着碳达项目正式启动。此后，碳达项目组举办了一系列活动来推动两省州在环保细分领域的交流与合作：

• 中德企业研讨会（大气污染防治领域、水处理技术领域、废物循环利用领域、能效技术领域）
• 中德循环经济研讨会
• 以湖泊环境与生态为主题的碳达暑期学校（开展了11个专业课程讲座和4个文化交流讲座）
• 圆桌会议（生物经济与生物技术在环境保护中的应用、农业废弃物的生物质资源化利用、废弃秸秆生物质的资源化技术）
• 碳达对话（再制造领域、大气污染防治领域、水技术领域、塑料循环利用领域）
