Our facilitator is Joyce Tay. She is flying directly from Singapore specially join us at the Beijing Global Startup Weekend 2018.
Joyce is the Head of Programmes for StartupX and the outgoing Programme Head for BLOCK71 Singapore & Indonesia. Prior to this, she started her own startups in the fintech & consumer tech space. She also worked in corporate consultancy, bridging collaborations between fintech startups and traditional financial institutions.
She runs one of the largest Startup Weekends around the world in Singapore and actively supports initiatives that help grow the early stage startup ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

AJ Warner is the founder of TouchdownCareer and serves as the Coach-in-Chief. Prior to founding Touchdown, AJ worked for Deloitte Consulting, one of the world's top management consulting firms, and provided strategic consulting services to Fortune 500 clients. AJ started the English-speaking Beijing chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and served as Chapter President for 2.5 years. He recently stepped down to take a global committee position in EO helping promote leadership development throughout the organization.

Experienced in storytelling, Brendan Davis is the founder of the Big Fish in the Middle Kingdom podcast, and Director, Special Ops at BangBangPictures. He was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and began his entertainment career in 1990. He moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and has been a producer on films competing at Sundance, Toronto, Berlin and other top festivals. In 2013 Davis produced a US season of Chinese TV hit "Jia Pian You Yue" featuring Stan Lee, Justin Lin, M. Night Shyamalan, Sean Astin, and others. Davis has been co-located in Beijing and Los Angeles since 2013. He has guest lectured at the Beijing Film Academy and works as a producer and consultant with global partners. Davis created the podcast “Big Fish in the Middle Kingdom” in May 2017 in an attempt to make more sense of his new home, and he co-created "How China Works" with Yingying Li to continue his journey.

Charlie, Yechuan Hu, is an active technology entrepreneur, evangelist, community founder and startup entrepreneur with multiple tech startup projects experiences in the field of blockchain, AI and IOT. He worked in Rockstart one of the leading tech accelerator in Netherlands for several years. Now, he is the global partner at the tech hacker community - DoraHacks in China, also blockchain advisor of blockchain application projects such as Obelisk Network, OSA DC, former founding member of Ultrain. Charlie has been involved in the startup innovation, accelerator, blockchain and crypto fields since 2013 and went further engaged into blockchain technology & community development from 2017.

Costas is originally from Cyprus where he completed a two-year military service. During that time, he joined the ranks of the Special Forces, qualified as a Sergeant Major and graduated first of his Class.
As a first-generation university graduate, Costas studied Law at the University of Manchester. After graduating, he came to Beijing where he has been living for the past 3 years. In 2017, he co-founded BeHive, a platform that helps students, recent graduates and young professionals develop career skills. Costas is a Cyprus qualified attorney who has worked as a Management Trainee for a Chinese conglomerate and is now acting as International Legal Counsel for a Chinese IP firm.

Ida Jeng is an international expert and speaker on technology, diplomacy, public innovation and social entrepreneurship. Ida lives in Beijing and has previously lived and worked in New York, Nairobi and Copenhagen. 
Ida is the team lead for Denmark's TechPlomacy-initiative in Asia and a senior tech advisor to Denmark’s (and the world’s first-ever) tech ambassador. Based out of Beijing, Ida oversees TechPlomacy in Asia — a new, forward-leaning strategic priority in Danish foreign policy. Prior to joining the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ida worked for the Centre for Humanitarian Data, a data-startup within the United Nations. Inspired by the possibilities of new technology, Ida led OCHA's data lab in Nairobi, Kenya, covering 25 countries in East and Southern Africa. Prior to joining OCHA, Ida worked as a director for the award-winning technology organization, Refugees United (REFUNITE), and spent nearly five years scaling mobile projects in the Middle East and Africa. Ida spent the first seven years of her career working on digital communication, public sector innovation and digitization of the private and the public sector. She worked for a United Nations agency in New York, as a technology blogger for a national Danish newspaper and as an advisor at a management consulting firm. Ida holds degrees from the University of Cambridge, Copenhagen University, and Copenhagen Business School. Ida has completed MIT’s executive program in management and leadership.

He is the creative director of Wheels Plus Wings, a social venture whose aim is to improve mobility for disabled children and bring positive effects to their independent future. He is also the founder of Mountains Of Imagination, a creative studio with focus on visualization and presentation design so that you can be memorable, connect, stand out and enjoy the most of your spotlight moments. Ms. Namulun Tsogtbaatar is the Communications Director at WI Harper Group, a leading global venture capital firm, based in the Beijing office. Ms. Tsogtbaatar is mainly responsible for investor relations, fundraising and international markets deal flow.

Ms. Tsogtbaatar is a young professional from Mongolia with a dynamic and rich international background. She was raised in Australia and UK, obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma from a Swiss boarding school, and later became a special recipient of the Chinese Government Full Scholarship to attend Peking University where she earned a LLB degree from the School of Law.

Petros studied Economics at the University of Nottingham in the UK. After working and studying in China, he founded BeHive, an NGO that operates across Beijing to help students become more employable through professional skills training. Petros has served in the Special Forces as a Sergeant Major and has recently been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper. Other than being an avid supporter of youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, he handles international marketing at a technology startup where he bridges China with the rest of the world through AI-powered translation services. Petros, 26, is from Cyprus, and will be mentoring at Startup Weekend for the 2nd time.

Rior to explore new AI application in Sinovation Ventures, Qiyi was the first product manager and strategy analyst of Yitu, one of the top AI startups in China. During Qiyi’s time in YItu, Yitu transformed from project-driven company to product-driven company and grew wildly fast from 60 employees to over 1000 employees. Early to that, QIyi was an investment analyst in GGV and Liuhe Capital. Meanwhile, QIyi organized AI product manager meetup in shanghai to create an platform for people to exchange difficulties and solutions in the very new area.
