Dr. Yi-Ping He is a professor in the Finance Department at the School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Tsinghua University, and he is the director of the China Center for Financial Research (CCFR). Professor He received his PhD degree in Economics from University of Pennsylvania in US, and he joined Tsinghua SEM in 2008. Before he joined Tsinghua, Professor He was an assistant professor of finance in the University of Illinois at Chicago from 2004 to 2006, and an associate at Lehman Brothers from 2006 to 2007. Professor He’s main research areas include Banks and Financial Institutions, Monetary Policy and Macro Finance, and he has worked on various research topics including: inside money and outside money, agency problem in financial institutions, bank competition with information asymmetry, shadow banking and monetary policy, etc. Professor He has published many research papers in top academic journals such as Review of Financial Studies, Review of Economic Studies, International Economic Review, Journal of Monetary Economics, etc. Professor He was a convener of CF40 Youth Forum Member and a research associate at The Globalization and Monetary Policy Institute at Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Professor He has taught in: Financial Institutions, International Finance, Corporate Finance Theory, Macro Economic and Financial Analysis, etc.
