Chief, Trade Facilitation Section, Trade Logistics Branch, Division on Technology and Logistics at United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNCTAD)

Paul Hansen is responsible for issues relating to trade facilitation at UNCTAD, division on technology and logistics.UNCTAD's mandate is to assist developing and least developed countries as well as economies in transition integrating into global trade, promoting development centered globalization and inclusive and sustainable growth and development for these countries.
Poul has extensive experience in the area of trade and transport facilitation, having worked for more almost 20 years in UN system on issues such as international trade, transportation, development, international standards, previously working at the UNECE as secretary for the TIR and Harmonization conventions.
In addition, Poul has also worked in the UN on international sport policy as head of office for the UN office on Sport and Development abd Peace.
Poul's studies include both master and bachelor levels in Business Administration and International Law from Aarhus and Copenhagen Business Schools, Denmark.

Daniel Krassenstein

Director of Asia Operations at Procon Pacific

Dan is a global supply chain executive with 30 years of international manufacturing and logistics experience.

Dan earned his Master in Global Supply Chain Management from USC Marshall and is an adjunct professor at UCLA, University of Dayton and SJTU Antai - with a focus on Doing Business in Asia and Asia Supply Chain.

As Director of Asia Operations for Procon Pacific (industrial packaging), Dan is responsible for production facilities throughout China, Vietnam and India. Dan’s career has included Shanghai, Taipei, Jakarta, Panama, Mexico City and the USA, in industries ranging from ocean container carrier management to forwarding to contract manufacturing.

Dan has served on several boards and executive committees; including AmCham Shanghai, US DOS Overseas Security Advisory Council and the USC Marshall Global Supply Chain Center, writes for the Journal of Commerce and often lectures to congressional delegations on operations in China.

A 10-time marathoner and education philanthropist, Dan believes that a work-life balance is indeed very healthy.

Micheal Kuan

Founder and Executive Chairman of Kuan Captial

Michael Kuan is Vice Chairman of China Center for Globalization (CCG) and president of CCG Shanghai Branch. CCG is China's most influential think tank on international relationship, trade and investment. Mr. Kuan is also the founder and executive chairman of Kuan Capital, an investment and asset management firm based in Shanghai, China. Prior to establishing Kuan Capital in 2013, he served as the co-founder of CyberCity Investments, SIG Capital and was a partner of GGV Capital.

Born in China and educated in the United States, Michael’s investment career spans over thirty years-- starting in 1986 as a venture capitalist in Silicon Valley. He returned to China in 1992 to become one of the pioneering and value added investors in TMT, Internet, Education and the Biotech Industry. Michael has invested and played key roles in some of the most successful ventures, which include Quantech Electronics, China.com, Sina.com, Liming Networks, China Cable Networks, Grandhope Biotech and Hippo Animation. Kuan Capital is also an investor in Anchor Pacific Capital, RedBird Capital, Bold Capital, Berkeley Sky Deck Fund and Singularity University in United States.

Mr. Kuan also serves as an innovation board member of Xprize Foundation and a founding council member of TEDx Global in the US. Michael was the co-author of InvestAmerica (1989), an investment guide for foreign investors seeking US investment opportunities. He was the 2006 commencement speaker and the China Ambassador at Pepperdine University. As a member of XPRIZE’s Innovation Board, Michael is launching China’s 1st XPRIZE for Clean Air to deal with the issue of worldwide Air Pollution.

G. Bin Zhao

Senior Economist at PwC China

Mr. G. Bin Zhao is the senior economist at PwC China and he also leads the firm’s Strategic Research.
Before joining PwC, Mr. G. Bin Zhao founded a boutique research and consulting firm, and served as the executive editor of the firm’s flagship publication. He has provided path-breaking economic research and consulting on China to leading financial and multinational companies around the globe. He is also a research fellow at one of the most prestigious think tanks in Asia.
He is currently a columnist at Forbes China and a regular contributor for the South China Morning Post. His articles have been published in leading international business newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. His opinions on the Chinese economy are often cited by Thomson Reuters, Google and Yahoo Finance, as well as influential Chinese internet portals and media. He has been interviewed by CCTV, the main state television broadcaster in China, and China Business News (CBN TV) on major economic questions.
Mr. Zhao is a Chinese native who holds an executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University (with an exchange program at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology). He also holds an MSc in Financial Economics from Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law.
