Lynn received her M.Phil. from Prof. Xiaoou Tang’s Multimedia Lab in the department of Information Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007, and B.Eng. from the department of Electrical Engineering and Information Science at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2005. She was a research intern in Microsoft Research Asia in 2005 and 2007. Her research was primarily focused on Face Alignment and Face Recognition. She published her first paper in ICML 2006 as the first author.
