Philip Lazare is among the “China hands” with nearly two decades of legal practice in the city. He is a partner in the Shanghai affiliate of the German firm Luther since 2007. Philip is a corporate and tax lawyer by training, but continues to be engaged in a number of other areas, as the China legal scene maintains its high-speed development pace. IT and data privacy have become focal points of his practice with the launch of large corporate IT roll-outs by the firm’s clients and increasingly complex rules designed to protect data privacy. Philip lives with his family in Pudong.
Tobias Steinig entered KUKA in 2016, and at first acted as the Regional Vice President Digital Operations Asia and Pacific of KUKA Management (Shanghai) Co., LTD. By the beginning of 2018, he was promoted to be Global Vice President Digital Operations and in addition Vice President Digital LAB & New Technology within KUKA AG.
Simultaneously he acts as the Cyber Security Officer for KUKA Legal Entities in China, owning all projects and initiatives related to the Chinese Cyber Security Law.
In his previous career, he was acting in the roll of CIO of Stuttgart21 – Deutsche Bahn AG (famous Infrastructure Program of German Railways Company) and Head of Global Project Coordination & Realization at Siemens AG Germany running digitization and commodity projects in 28 countries.
Dietrich Henne was born in Aachen and completed a Diploma in Mathematics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany. Since then, he held various positions in Germany, the USA and China in Information Technology and Corporate Functions for a consulting company as well as a multinational media corporation. He came to Shanghai in 2005 and is now responsible for Voith Digital Solutions in China. Voith Digital Solutions as part of the Voith Group offers Automation, Platforms and IT Security Services in the Industrie 4.0 and IIoT space for customers in China and around the globe.
Michael Tan has more than 17 years of experience advising multinational companies in their investment and operations in China. Besides his expertise regarding the general corporate, M&A and commercial matters, he specializes in IT regulatory, data protection issues and other new technology driven sectors. Michael is now heading the firm's TMC practice for China. He is familiar with the rapidly developing TMC sector in China and quite often publishes articles and frequently comments on IT and data protection related legal topics.
