Em has been based in Beijing for a decade and working regionally in Asia since she founded Circles2, a boutique Diversity and Inclusion consulting firm, in 2010. Em is focused on developing female leaders and works within organizations on Diversity and Inclusion strategy, designing projects to retain and advance women and to build inclusive environments. In 2015, Em created Inner Circles, a transformational leadership program for women from diverse professional and personal backgrounds. Here, incredible women unleash their full potential by digging deeper into who they are, bringing out their best selves and finding tangible ways to have a bigger impact. Inner Circles is now a vibrant community with an active network of impressive alumnae, expanding around China, and attracting participation of top women.
Em has worked with Fortune 500 companies from a range of industries including technology, law, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, consumer products and more. She is a regular partner to organizations such as AmCham, All China Women's Federation, etc. and has been invited as a guest lecturer at several notable universities including Peking University, Tsinghua University, INSEAD, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, University of California, and was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Women in Business Inspiration Leadership Award in 2011.
She is Canadian, with an MPA from Ryerson University and a BAH in education and mathematics from Queen's University. She's married with three kids. She's known for her authentic approach to integrating work and life and as a jet-setting mom-baby duo.
