Since 1998, Mr. Eric Schweitzer is the CEO of the Berlin-based recycling company ALBA (since January 2011, ALBA Group plc & Co. KG). Born in Malaysia in 1965, he studied business administration at Freie Universität Berlin and obtained his doctorate in political science in 1990. In the same year he joined ALBA and has been active in the waste management industry ever since. Between 1999 and 2003 he acted as Vice-President of the European Federation of Waste Management Industry and from 2003 until 2006 as Vice-President of the Federation of German Waste Management Industry. Additionally, Dr. Schweitzer was the President of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) (2004-2016) and became acting President of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) in March 2013.
Ms. Bettina Schön-Behanzin is the Chairwoman of the German Chamber of China - Shanghai and the Regional Representative Asia of the Freudenberg Group. She entered Freudenberg Group in October 2012 and leads the Freudenberg Corporate Centre Asia, based in Shanghai, PR China.
Bettina Schoen-Behanzin has 20 years of working experience in Asia leading operational business as well acting in corporate functions. From May 2001 to April 2008 she served as the Board Member of the German Chamber Shanghai, being Vice President from July 2005. Starting in March 2007 she implemented in cooperation with the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Shanghai the “Vocational Education System” for skilled workers and was a member of the “China Education Board”.
As of February 2015, Ms. Pohl officially represents the interests of Germany's industry and commerce in the Greater Shanghai region. As a long-standing member of the AHK family, Ms. Pohl brings a wide range of experience, knowledge and skills to the Shanghai Chamber. Before coming to Shanghai, Ms. Pohl spent 15 years in several positions at the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest in Chicago, most recently acting as the President & CEO from 2006 - 2015. Before moving to the US, she worked for 8 years in the hospitality industry in Munich, Germany.
Dr. Ruicheng Li, joined SAP headquarter in Germany in 1994, is Senior Vice President, President of SAP Labs China; Expert Member of Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing Alliance, Vice Chair and Expert Member of China Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Alliance Sponsored by MIIT; Guest Professor of Fudan University and Tongji University. He is managing SAP Labs China with approximately 2800 people in 7 Locations: Shanghai, Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, etc.
Dr. Li has taken different roles in several countries: Vice President of Business Development Asia Pacific for Government, Defense, Healthcare and Higher Education. He was instrumental to set up business in public sector for Asia Pacific, Vice President for R&D Central European Region.
Mr. Lin is also the General Manager of SLC Process Industries & Drives.

Michael Ellenrieder is Managing Director of WERMA Shanghai, a subsidiary of WERMA Signaltechnik and since 2008 in China for different German companies in lean consulting and assembly industries. In his current role he collects needs of various production applications, develops and localizes tools for shop floor data gathering, visualization and analysis to market retrofit solutions, improving production processes use cases in various manufacturing industries.
Mr. Volker Sauer joined Bosch in 1981. He possesses 25 year’s of experience in different locations and roles at Bosch Automotive business units in Europe. He has managed 10 years several Units in Bosch Rexroth part of the Industrial sector of Bosch. Mr. Sauer has been managing since 4,5 years all factories and R&D centers of Bosch Rexroth with approximately 3000 associates in four locations. Mr. Volker Sauer was the plant manager of Bosch Homburg - one of the i4.0 pilot factories in Bosch.
Mr. Achim Dercks is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
Dr. Achim Derck's career with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) started in 1996. Since then he held various positions. After having served as Head of the Department “Labour Market and Social Security” and of the Office for Presidential Affairs, he became Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2004.
Dr. Dercks also serves as Member of the ZDF Television Council, as Member of the Board of the RKW, the German Productivity and Innovation Centre, and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Senior Expert Service (SES) Foundation.
Dr. Dercks's background is in economics and political science. He received his doctorate as Dr. rer. pol. on the subject "Redistribution Policy and Federal Order" in 1996.
Mr. Phipps Xue drives the strategic co-innovation initiatives of IoT/Industrie 4.0 as well as SAP Cloud Platform (enterprise PaaS), by marrying China local market trends and SAP’s R&D expertise in China lab. In this role, he builds platforms to bridge between SAP’s China R&D teams and external ecosystem including government associations, think-tanks, partners and customers to co-innovate in the Bi-modal IT era.
Since joined SAP in 2003, Phipps has gained extensive experience in leading end-to-end development of SAP’s flagship ERP product for Small-and-Medium Enterprise with teams from multiple countries. He later moved to take charge of global business operation of SAP Globalization Services HCM team consisting of development teams in eight countries. Phipps graduated from University of Manchester, and received MBA degree from Manchester Business School.
Mr. Erik Walenza is CEO of Iot ONE Inc., the Chair of the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) Smart Factory Task Group (SFTG), and the Shanghai Director of Startup Grind. IoT ONE is leading source of information and insight regarding Industrial Internet of Things vendors and solutions. Companies work with IoT to develop their customer bases, partner ecosystems, and innovation strategies. As Chair of the IIC SFTG, Erik works with IIC members to reduce risk for early adopters of Industrial IoT technologies in manufacturing. Through Startup Grind Erik supports the development of Shanghai's innovation ecosystem.
Tobias Bergmann is the Managing Director of his own business consulting firm, as well as the President of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. The 46-year-old from Munich has extensive experience in management consultancy and his current roles reflect his proven track record in the industry.
In May 2017 Bergmann launched Tobias Bergmann Consulting GmbH. The consultancy advises commercial enterprises as well as public organisations and institutions in areas such as strategic management, marketing, human resources, project management, controlling and business finance. This latest venture builds on Bergmann’s experience as the founder of Nordlicht Management Consulting GmbH. He established Nordlicht in 2009 and successfully developed the company into a leading strategic and management consultancy for organisations in the non-profit and public sectors.
Mr. Alexander Tobert has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at KERN-LIEBERS CHINA GROUP since October 2016.
Mr. Tobert holds a diploma in business administration and started his career at the KERN-LIEBERS headquarter in Schramberg (Germany) in August 1997. Throughout his career he has held other positions in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling and IT in USA, Mexico, Czech Republic and India.
Before he came to China in 2016, he was Head of Internal Audit in the HQ of the KERN-LIEBERS Group in Germany.
Britta Buschfeld, Director Vocational Training at AHK Shanghai since 2010, graduated from Bochum University ( M.A.) in Chinese history, Economics of East Asia and Industrial sociology. After working in HR departments of two multi-national companies
she took over the position of School Director in Germany for 15 years, which gave her insights of company as well as school partner needs in VET . Working stations in Southern Africa, Singapore and China completed her international experience.
Her focus is on VET implementation in China and the support of German companies and Chinese schools. As QM Auditor she is also determined to work on quality processes and aspects in VET. Besides being a member of the German-Chinese Governmental Working Group on VET she is member of various working groups on VET on national and international level.
Mr. Huang Xiaobing, Chief Information Officer of CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd under CITIC Group. He got his MBA in Peking University and worked for international manufacturing enterprises for more than 20 years. He has rich experience in information, intelligent management experience. From 2003 to 2006, he worked as the scientific database expert in Chinese Academy of Sciences; He has taken CIO of China MOBIS Automotive Group and BGI, which is the largest genomic organization in the world. And got much awards, such as National Excellent Chief Information Officer from 2014 to 2016 and China Information Contribution Award in 2016.
Now, he is CIO of CITIC Dicastal and in charge of intelligent manufacturing and "Internet +" transformation related works. CITIC Dicastal gets much recognition "Internet and industrial integration innovation and demonstration enterprises", "innovative enterprises", "industrial data application of ten models" and "Internet +" manufacturing pilot enterprises from Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Industry.
Mr. Michael Chan who post-graduated from Xiamen University is one of the senior members of The Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE), as well as Fujian Association of Young scientists. Michael Chan is the Assistant President of Intretech as well as the VP Technology of UMS. Intretech has set up the headquarter in Xiamen, with the global layout of Intelligent manufacturing industries in In Canada, Hongkong, Malaysia, Hungary etc. Intretech is highly recognized by international VIP customers such as Logitech, Nestle etc, through its high-quality design of new products. Intretech is the leader of Industrial Internet and Public IOT.

Dr. Feng Guo, graduated as a Ph.D from the University of Southampton, UK in 2005. He has been working in the field of wireless communication and Internet of Things for over 15 years and has authored numerous papers and journals in the IEEE publications. He is now acting as the Principle IoT solution architect in the Enterprise Business Group of Huawei and before that he had extensive industry experience from Alcatel-Lucent, Chinese Academy of Science and Wuxi WorldSensingNet Industrial Institution.
His previous postings include a headquarter function as Director East Asia at the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) as well as a Deputy Managing Director position at the German-Czech Chamber of Commerce in Prague. He started his career in the Chamber network as a Deputy Chief Representative in Guangzhou. Jens made first contact with China, during his master degree study of Political Science and China Studies at the University of Leipzig. He continued education with a part-time MBA program at Steinbeis University Berlin.
Dr. Carlos Morra received his Electronic Engineering degree from Universidad Simon Bolivar, Venezuela, and his Ph.D. from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
He joined Siemens AG in 2008 and worked as an R&D Engineer and Architect for Industrial Communication Systems in Karlsruhe. In 2011, Carlos joined Siemens Corporate Technology in Munich, initially working for the Cyber-Physical Systems Research Group and later for the Software Architecture Definition Research Group of the Systems and Software Innovation Technology Field.
After his transfer to Munich, Carlos was involved in the creation of the Siemens System Architect Core Learning Program and was one of the Trainers until his delegation to China.
From 2014 to 2016, Carlos worked in several Visioning & Scouting projects, including Pictures-of-the-Future-Industry and the Blockchain Technology Scouting.
Since May 2016, Carlos has been working with at the Siemens China Innovation Center in Beijing as a lead consultant for projects in robotics and digitalization.
Mr. Pan Xuelong is working at Phoenixcontact China. Mr. Pan Xuelong was the Product Manager at Siemens China from 2005 till 2014. He has served in different management positions in several departments as technical and marketing department.
Mr. Xuelong is member of the Sino-German smart manufacturing standardization working group and the National smart manufacturing standardization working group. He is also committee member for the working group IEC TC121, SAC TC124, TC411 and TC189. He is responsible for the Smart manufacturing projects in management and promotion. Mr. Xuelong is also responsible for the Smart education demonstration projects promotion.
Ms Ina Schmitt works for the Global Project Quality Infrastructure – Country Component China (QI Project), which is implemented in Beijing, China by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). In her roles as project coordinator and policy advisor, Ms Schmitt is responsible for supporting the bilateral political standardisation cooperation on Industrie 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing between BMWi, the Standardisation Administration of PR China and the Ministry for Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Her main areas of expertise cover the topics quality infrastructure, digitalisation, and private sector cooperation.
Dr. Wei Sha is now working as the director of application technology research department in China Electronics Standardization Institute, mainly engaged in standardization research work of intelligent manufacturing and the Internet of Things. She is now the committee members of IEC/SMB SEG7 Smart Manufacturing, ISO/IEC JTC1 JAG (Advisory Group) and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC41 the Internet of Things, respectively. She is the major participants of three Intelligent Manufacturing Special Projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, namely Standard Research and Experimental Verification of Mass Customization(2017’), Standard Research and Experimental Verification of Intelligent Manufacturing Evaluation Index (2016’), and Standard Research and Experimental Verification System of Intelligent Manufacturing Reference Model (2015’). She is also the main participant of Construction Guideline of National Intelligent Manufacturing Standard System (Version 2015). She has published several papers on intelligent manufacturing standardization works.
Ms. Vivi Yin acts as Dean of Midea College at Midea Group. She has over 17 years of experience in Learning & Development. Prior to Midea, Vivi was with Luolai, Pactera, Nestle and GE in various Corporate University Management, L&D, TD and Leadership Consulting roles. Her expertise lies in building L&D solutions, program design, coaching, and corporate university . She has extensive experience working with emerging leaders from different industries.

With 17 years of working in multi-national companies and over ten years of experience in the area of standardisation and technical regulation, Ms. Zhang has a comprehensive view of China standardisation and certification systems and other market access conditions across multi-sectors including ICT, automation, electrical and electronics, energy, building and transportation. Meanwhile, she has broad network and deep engagement with government, industry, institution and academia and she has an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of the government and industries.
