Jenny YANG is the Managing Director for HNA Tourism Innovation Ventures, a newly established investment group under the HNA that through private equity, incubation and fund management, seeks to develop new financial services, promote scientific and technological innovation and spur industrial evolution.
Jenny joined HNA Group in 2013. She was previously international sales manager for Deer Jet and an International Management Trainee at the HNA Tourism Group. Jenny's deal experience includes projects in hospitality, aviation industries, TMC, and other tourism related industries.
Jenny holds a Master's degree from University of Liverpool.
Mr. Clearfield is the Human Resources Director for HNA Tourism Innovation Ventures, a newly established investment group under the HNA that through private equity, incubation and fund management, seeks to develop new financial services, promote scientific and technological innovation and spur industrial evolution.
Mr. Clearfield was formerly the Associate Director of Natural Resources for Bank of China International, where he specialized in cross border transactions in the mining, infrastructure, energy, hospitality and resources industries.
From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Clearfield was the Founder and Managing Director of Elaixin Holdings Ltd., a private advisory company headquartered in Beijing. Mr. Clearfield has advised clients with assets in China, Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and North America on structuring Chinese investment and integrating cross cultural teams after the deal. He has advised a wide range of global companies on capital market transactions including both private and State Owned Chinese organizations.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Mr. Clearfield is often asked to speak at or write for both Chinese and international industry forums on trends in the Chinese outbound investment industry. He has lived in Beijing, China since 2004.
Ji is the Co-founder of Zhulilaiye (助理来也), a start-up focusing on providing personal assistant service to Chinese consumers powered by AI and human agents. Laiye was the first Chinese startup to be invested by Microsoft headquarter and its angel investors include Lightspeed, Sequoia and Zhenfund. Prior to that, she was the Studio Head and Business Director at FunPlus, where she managed teams of over 80 people across US, Canada and China to produce and operate a Top 50 Facebook simulation game and a Top IOS grossing RTS game. She has an MBA from Stanford and a B.S, summa cum laude, from Cornell.
Kelly was born and raised in Beijing. She was an entrepreneur before and now an investor. She has been working in international companies and cross-cultural, cross-border startups for 11 years. Kelly is now the COO of a Qingdao based company called Vancoo Commerce - in charging of global partnerships and investments. Prior to that, she worked in an EdTech incubator (LearnLab) in Beijing as senior partner. She also co-founded Vericant, a startup in Beijing that does third partner interview and spoken English assessment of Chinese students for North American schools.
