Nitin is an architect and an environmentalist. He was raised in India and has worked in Bangalore, Singapore, and Milan. In Shanghai, he formed an entrepreneurial venture facilitating clean technology solutions, while also founding Green Initiatives - an environmental nonprofit-turned-social enterprise that facilitates learning and solutions on local & global issues, and collaborates with companies on employee engagement activities.

Green Initiatives has organized over 500 events since its inception in 2009 attended by over 25,000 people, including Shanghai’s longest running monthly sustainability forums. In November 2016, it was awarded Shanghai’s Most Innovative Nonprofit by AmCham Shanghai for reducing barriers for organizations to participate in CSR.

Nitin works as a Project Director at GIGA, combining building material research and cloud software. GIGA’s software is used to manage the material data of some of the world's largest developers, design firms and certification bodies. GIGA is also the founder of RESET; a targeted project certification focused on health, regeneration, and air quality.

Nitin is frequently invited to talk about GIGA and Green Initiatives at conferences throughout Asia.

Coming from a technical background with an MBA, and 10 years’ experience in project innovation, Bethy features rich experience in different industries including software, e-commerce, exhibition, PR, education, incubator, finance, etc.; also features multi-role background in production, R&D, marketing, strategy, incubation, investment, etc.; and accumulated practical experience in state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, foreign companies, joint ventures, start-ups and different types of organizational changes, with internal and external innovations.

Alizée is one of the co-founders of Zero Waste Shanghai. The Zero Waste Journey started as a personal challenge but quickly transformed into a larger movement in Shanghai. She started by teaching workshops (DIY compost bin, Cleaning products, ...), but later was able to work with larger institutions to make an impact and work towards a more sustainable and green way of living. The company was created in 2017, and offer workshops, consulting services and seminars. Alizée has been living a (close to) Zero Waste Lifestyle for almost three years now and has led over 80 workshops in Shanghai.

Philip's focus is green technology, regenerative business models, environmental resource stewardship and design. He is currently engaged with studying Permaculture, discovering its allies in China and organizing training workshops.

Since moving to China in 2011, Philip worked in construction project management, interior design of co-working office spaces, and has been collaborating with Rainbow of Hope (RoH) and Urban Rural Bridge (UR Bridge). UR Bridge's vision is to bridge urban and rural communities, to cultivate and nourish joyfully resilient communities and an ecologically sound economy.

Philip holds degrees in Civil Engineering, Chinese and Japanese Studies, and Mathematics.

She is now working responsible sourcing issues at Mindup Consulting and an advisor at Feiy, a platform that empowers empathic and purpose-driven leaders to shape tomorrow’s world. It inspires, connects and supports individuals, entrepreneurs and employees to drive change by building a career aligned with environmental and social goals.
