Lifeline

Established in 2004, Lifeline provides the only English speaking helpline and online chat service in Mainland China. We are a non-profit social entity, completely volunteer based.

We provide 12 hours of support everyday, delivering a responsive and empowering service for those facing life challenges, experiencing emotional difficulties or having suicidal thoughts. We listen, support, and offer resources and referrals helping callers to take positive steps forward.

We understand crises can happen to anyone – regardless of economic resources, gender, age or nationality. Sometimes all that is needed is a listening ear.
