Katja is the founder and head of the German Innovators, a Beijing based platform that is intended to bridge innovation, entrepreneurship, and talents from the German innovation landscape with the concordant ecosystem in China.
Additionally, she leads the German Desk in the Corporate Innovation Team at Zhongguancun Innoway, a Chinese state-owned company and landmark for entrepreneurship in China, to introduce German Innovators and Entrepreneurs to the Chinese ecosystem and vice versa.
Katja was in the founding team of the first StartupGrind University Beijing chapter and leads now, as one of the directors three active and six rising chapters in Beijing.
She has two years of China experience with an academic background in Innovation Management.
Yaoli Wang is a postdoctoral researcher at Peking University’s Spatial-Social Sensing Lab. Outside of her research, Yaoli is an AngelHack Beijing community lead ambassador. Her mission is to encourage technology entrepreneurship and convert academic innovations in technology into industrial products to solve real problems.
She holds a Ph.D. in Infrastructure Engineering from the University of Melbourne. Prior to her Ph.D., she’s received an M.A. from the University of Georgia focusing on community detection in social and spatial networks.
