Regional Manager of International Desk Team at Bank of Shanghai
Elaine Feng is the regional manager with Bank of Shanghai International Desk Team based in Shanghai. She started the role in 2015, serving clients from Santander’s geographies and helping local clients to expand business both financially and non-financially.
Elaine has 5-years’ experience in the International Business Department H.O., handling with Letter of Credit, settlement, and trade finance. Elaine was seconded to Bank of Shanghai Hong Kong in 2014, conducting the cross-border financing service for international companies and groups. She has a good knowledge of banking products, cross-border financial solutions and risk control. She also has experience in serving a wide range of clients from different industries.
Elaine majored in World Economy and graduated from Fudan University with a Bachelor’s degree.
Head of International Desk Team at Santander China
Silei Huo is the Head of Santander International Desk China, her responsibilities include supporting Santander customers to enter and develop in the Chinese market and supporting Chinese companies to invest in geographies where Santander has presence.
Previous to her current role, Silei worked in the Retail and Commercial Banking division for one and half years, focusing on retail banking transformational projects with Bank of Shanghai. Silei has experience in working in UK within the customer intelligence team on improvement for business banking opportunities. Before joining Santander, she worked as the team leader and product manager of Sub-branch Corporate Banking team in Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, with around 6-years’ experience in Corporate Banking areas.
Silei graduated with honor in BA from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, also passed CFA Level 3.
Partner of Forensic Advisory Services practice at Grant Thornton China
Tim Klatte is a Partner in the Forensic Advisory Services practice of Grant Thornton China and is head of the Shanghai practice. He has extensive leadership experience in business & competitive intelligence, due diligence investigations, and China macro/micro economic forces that shape boardroom decisions and foreign policy. He has conducted nearly 200 due diligence and corporate intelligence projects across multiple industries and in all regions of China. His clients have included Global Fortune 500 firms with extensive operations in China.
He holds more than 20 years of China-related experience, of which over 10 years have been working in Shanghai with both a Big Four Accounting firm and the leading Chinese investment management firm. Now with Grant Thornton, Tim leads the Forensic team in Shanghai and serves clients nationally. Tim speaks Mandarin Chinese and Japanese, in addition to his native English.

Sarah Oemmelen is Deputy Manager at PwC in the department of Tax & Business Development Services. She works at the Shanghai office and is member of the German Business Group.
Sarah graduated in Management and Economics (Diplom-Ökonomin) and is a German certified tax advisor (Steuerberaterin). She has more than six years of experience in advising companies in German Tax Law. Her activities focus on tax advisory, issuing of tax comments and financial statements, tax calculations and tax
structuring projects. Therefore, Sarah brings expertise in the field of corporate tax, individual income tax and value added tax in the national as well as the international context.
In Shanghai, she utilises this knowledge in serving German clients on their inbound investments. During her time in Shanghai, Sarah already gained experience in moderating by holding lectures at the Tongji University (CDHK) and presenting at PwC-events. Furthermore, she was involved in German Chamber activities by publishing an article in the German Chamber ticker.
