[Limited Capacity] Workshop Automotive: “Quality Management in Automotive – Lessons Learned on Overcoming Quality Challenges in China”

Thomas Roesler is leading Formel D Supplier Development in Asia Pacific. Before joining Formel D in October 2015, he worked 20 years at ZF Friedrichshafen AG, most recently as Head of Supplier Management Asia Pacific and Head of Quality Management Asia Pacific. Starting as a student, after graduation he worked 5 years in test department for chassis components at ZF and helped building up the test area in Shanghai at that time. In 2004, he changed to technical Purchasing of the truck division at ZF. He coordinated the global purchasing with main focus on China and he supported to build up a supplier network for 2 plants in China by visiting and auditing suppliers on regular basis. In 2009, he became quality manager of ZF Transmission Shanghai and reduced supplier ppm by 60%, 0-km ppm to the customers below 35. In 2012, he changed to central function as Head of Supplier Management Asia Pacific and Head of Quality Management Asia Pacific.

Ralf Boehm is working in the quality area for Webasto since 2010. Living in Guangzhou and Shanghai for 4 years he gained experience in the specific quality requirements of the Chinese market through all relevant OEMs. Ralf is leading the Project quality team in Webasto China and Global, which focuses on quality planning in the development phase of the projects.
