Maximilian Butek has more than 10 years’ experience in the German Chambers Network abroad. He assumed the role of Delegate and Chief Representative of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Guangzhou since 2018. Before that, Mr. Butek has served as Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana.
His previous postings include the Southern Africa-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce. Before his career in the German Chambers Network Abroad, he gained experience in a multinational company and a German strategy consulting firm.
Dr. Michael Schmidt has been Vice President of Innovation, Covestro Asia Pacific since September 2018. Dr. Schmidt is the dean of the Covestro-Tongji Innovation Academy.
Dr. Schmidt started his career in the Institute of Polymer Materials in Erlangen, Germany in 1997, leading the acquisition projects from an engineering aspect for about 4 years. He spent almost a year heading an emission testing lab on fuel tank systems in Treuchtlingen, Germany.
In the following 17 years, within the Business Unit Polycarbonates of Bayer MaterialScience AG in Germany, he took up various global roles in overseeing production & development, sales & marketing for Thermoplastics, extended in the areas of R&D, HSEQ, Production & Technology, material management, respectively in film and sheet business.

Mauro Dellisanti, originally from Italy, is the Managing Director of the Shanghai branch of Motovate Ltd. Mauro graduated in economics from the University of Glasgow, UK, and is a Master's degree candidate of the Fudan University. While studying at the Fudan University, he has been leading the establishment of the Chinese branch of Motovate.

Alizée is trained in Business Management, with a focus in Fashion Design and Luxury, and the Circular Economy. She ran over 150 workshops and seminars in China alone, spoke at Tedx and appeared in over 15 media channels in the world, including but not limited to The New York Times, Elle China, CGTN, China Daily, Time Out and many more. She’s also a speaker at waste management and sustainability conferences. She is one of the firsts to have founded a for-profit environmental startup in China.

Joan Elizalde, has a science background, and is an expert in outdoor environmental education, with almost 20 years in the field. His multidisciplinary experience includes sustainable tourism, outdoor education, outdoor safety, Montessori and forest school pedagogics. His focus is on youth education, and environmental awareness.
As a dive instructor, mountain rescue, hiking guide and nature educator he helped thousands of students realize the importance of protecting the environment and the many amazing creatures that live in it. He understood how exploring the wilderness could help people appreciate the beauty of life in its purest essence, and ultimately reconcile them with themselves and the planet.
As a response to the growing gap between people and Nature, Joan co-founded Green Steps in 2017, since then, his team has been designing and facilitating outdoor environmental curriculum for the younger generations, training others as nature educators, and developing technological tools to accelerate and increase the positive impact of environmental education.
Joan lives since 2011 in Shanghai. Out of work he loves to play music, walk in the forest, climb mountains or dive in the ocean.
