Mr. Pilcher has spent that past 43 years in the paint and coatings industry in a variety of technical, production and marketing capacities. Following his retirement from AkzoNobel Coatings in 2005, where he was the Technical Director for Coil and Extrusion Coatings for The Americas and China, George Pilcher served as a Management Coach to BASF’s North American Industrial Coatings Business Unit, before joining The ChemQuest Group, the leading global strategic management consulting firm specializing in the coatings and adhesives industries, in 2007 as Vice President. Mr. Pilcher has published over 30 invited papers in numerous U.S. and European technical journals, and has written or co-authored several book chapters.
Mr. Pilcher was the author of the Chemical Strategies Partnership/CMS Forum’s 2009 Industry Report, and also authored the U.S. Paint and Coatings Industry Market Analysis (2010-2015) as well as the updated version of that Analysis, covering the years 2012-2017. Mr. Pilcher is the only American to be elected an Honorary “Corresponding Member” of the Paint and Pigment Division of the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker. He is the Chair of the American Coatings Associations’s Awards Committee, and also serves on the Roon Awards Selection Committee, the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Coatings Technology and Research, and the Advisory Board of CoatingsTech.
Wang Liping was born in 1980. He is a researcher and doctoral supervisor of Ningbo Institute of Material Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Director of the Key Laboratory of Marine New Materials and Applied Technologies, Academy of Chinese Sciences, and Director of Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Marine Materials and Protection Technologies. He was the deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Solid Lubrication. The winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, the 15th China Youth Science and Technology Award, was selected into the National Ten Thousands Plan and the National Ten Million Talents Project, and was awarded the honorary title of "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contribution". He is currently an alternate member of the Ningbo Municipal Committee, a member of the Zhejiang Youth League Provincial Committee, a member of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Youth Federation and a vice-chairman of the Ningbo Youth Federation. He has been engaged in the theoretical and Engineering Application Research of material multi-factor damage and surface multi-way life extension design under special environment. He has presided over over over more than 20 important projects such as 973 project, 863 project and national defense key project of the Ministry of Science and Technology. A series of functional protective coatings have been developed and applied for the first time to key components in extreme environments such as aerospace turbine power system, ramjet, supersonic vehicle and high temperature gas-cooled reactor. The major technical problems of integration of protection and strengthening of core components have been successfully solved. Series of marine heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings and marine anti-corrosion coatings designed and developed have been successfully applied in marine engineering and marine aerospace equipment. Of the 48 patents applied for, 40 have been authorized, 22 of which have been successfully transferred and transformed. Published 2 Monographs in Chinese, published 180 SCI papers, and cited more than 3000 times by others. The research results were awarded the second-class national technological invention award (ranked No. 1), the National Innovation Competition Award, the Silver Award for Good Design in China, the Outstanding Young Academic Award of the Chinese Society of Corrosion and Protection, the Young Achievement Award of Science and Technology of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering and the Young Tribological Scholar Award of the Tribological Society.

Engineering in the South China University of Technology (SCUT).
He received his PhD degree from the University of Science and
Technology of China in 2011 supervised by Prof. Guangzhao Zhang. Then, he joined SCUT to work on antifouling coatings and
was promoted to be professor in 2016. In 2014–2016, he worked as a Hong Kong Scholar (Co-Advisor: Prof. Pei-Yuan Qian) in The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on the high efficiency and eco-friendly antifouling coatings, anti-corrosive coatings.
Over the past 20 years of anti-corrosion experience, in anti-corrosion coating construction, metal anti-corrosion, coating quality control, anti-corrosion standards and anti-corrosion design experience. He is currently chairman of SSPC-CN, member of the Ninth Coating and Coating Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, member of the CSTM Chemical Materials Field, vice-chairman of the CSTM Coatings and Pigments Standardization Technical Committee, and vice-chairman of the Council of the Painting Industry Development Promotion Center of the China Equipment Management Association.

Professor Zheng Cui worked in the UK for 20 years and returned to China in 2009. He setup the first research center in China dedicated to printed electronics R&D. The Center has been focusing on research themes ranging from electronic ink formulation to printing process development and applications, which include printed solar cells, printed thin-film transistors, printed organic light emission and display, and printed flexible stretchable wearable electronics. He has authored and coauthored over 60 technical publications, 4 books and over 60 patents since returned to China. He and his team invented a novel hybrid printing technology to manufacture metal mesh transparent conductive films which has been in mass production at the leading manufacturer of touch panels and commercialized. The invention won the Chinese outstanding patent award in 2014.

Prof. Yanlin Song received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry at Peking University in 1996. Then he conducted research as a postdoctoral follow in the Department of Chemistry of Tsinghua University from 1996 to 1998.Now he is the director of Key Lab of Green Printing, Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
