Min has diverse experience in technology development, business development and venture capital. Min spent 17 years in the US before founding China Materialia LLC in 2010.
Prior to China Materialia, Min was with Silicon Valley Bank Capital, where she was responsible for identifying and evaluating venture capital and private equity fund investments, with a focus on the China market. Prior to SVB Capital, Min was a principal at Unilever Technology Ventures (UTV) where she led investments in companies in the fields of cleantech, semiconductor, medical device, drug development and health and wellness, in companies such as Impinj (NASDAQ: PI), Halosource (AIM: HALO.LN), Textronics (sold to Addidas). Prior to UTV, Min worked as a senior scientist in the Materials Science division and a business development associate at the Technology Commercialization division at Rockwell Scientific, a high-tech enterprise.
Min earned a doctorate in materials science and engineering (with distinction) from University of Southern California, a MBA (with distinction) from Anderson Business School of the University of California at Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in materials science from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.
Patrick has an extensive background in metallurgy, aerospace, power and cleantech industries. Before co-founding China Materialia, Patrick was a Senior Consultant at Performance Improvement, a risk analysis and management company specialized in power industries. Patrick is an experienced entrepreneur in the advanced materials space. His prior start-up focuses on advanced nanograin aluminum alloys and its applications, the company was successfully listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange.
Before his entrepreneurial ventures, Patrick was a Senior Scientist in Materials Science Division at Rockwell Scientific Inc. Patrick specializes in advanced materials and clean technologies, including renewable electricity generation, biofuels for transportation, green building, clean water, clean air, carbon dioxide emissions reduction, recyclable materials, sustainable foresting and agriculture, and energy efficiency.
Patrick obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, his M.S. from Tsinghua University (China) and M.S./B.S. from Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France), all in Materials Sciences. Patrick is a member of the Board of Directors of CTT, Camray, Octadem and Zipline Medical.

Throughout Andrew’s career he has been implementing technology and business change. He has been a senior Commercial and business manager in Unilever and part of the ‘future leader program’. From the late 1990s Andrew has been leading innovation and strategic change projects with global corporate venture units, advising on spin outs, investments and partnerships.

Professor L. Jay Guo started his academic career at the University of Michigan in 1999, and has been a full professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science since 2011, with joint appointment in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Macomolecular Science and Engineering.
Jay has > 220 refereed journal publications with over 25,000 citations, and close to 20 US patents. Many published work from his lab have been featured by numerous media. Prior to joining China Materialia, Ms. Hua served as Director with Co-bridge Capital, where she led investments in companies in the fields of clean-tech, advanced material and IT service. Before that, Ms. Hua was a strategy consultant with Monitor Group and PRTM, where she advised clients on M&A, market entry, and operations strategy. Earlier in her career, Ms. Hua worked in Dell Computer and Nortel where she was involved in product development, strategic planning and operations management.

Markus Solibieda has been the Managing Director of BASF Venture Capital GmbH since November 2016.
Before joining BASF, he was a Partner at Mandarin Capital Partners and Head of the company’s Frankfurt office. Prior to this, he co-founded Baigo Capital, a growth capital fund focused on the healthcare industry. Markus Solibieda started his professional career in the Venture Capital team of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG and subsequently worked for Advent International and 3i in Frankfurt and London. From 1999 to 2002, he was CFO of ACG, a public company providing smart cards, RFID technology and semiconductor components.

Aaike van Vugt has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology. Wen Zhao Yin received a Bachelor's degree at the Nanjing Institute of Chemical Technology (now Nanjing University of Technology) in 1984. In the same year, he entered the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and obtained Master's and Doctoral degrees. From September to December 1992, he went to the Physics Department of the National University of Singapore to conduct research work. From 1999 to 2001, he was a visiting professor at the Department of Chemistry, Mie University in Japan.
He is currently the Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the head of the New Energy Materials and Applications Laboratory, and the Secretary General of the Academic Committee. He is Secretary-General of Solid State Ionology Branch of China Institute of Silicate, Director of Shanghai Energy Research Association, Member of American Electrochemical Society, and Member of International Solid State Ionology Society.
Mainly involved with solid-state ionology, solid electrochemistry and various functional inorganic materials research and development, Zhao Yin has been responsible for, or participated in, the development of a number of national research projects, 863 and natural science funds. Dr. KC (KuoChun) Wu has served as General Manager, Substrate Polishing Group and Transformational Technology Center at Cabot Microelectronics, the global #1 supplier of CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) slurries and pads for semiconductor industry.
Prior to that, Dr. Wu held several business and R&D management positions in semiconductor industry, including Global Marketing Director, and R&D Director at Cabot Microelectronics, VP of technology transfer management at Ultratech, Director of advanced technology development division at Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC), technical manager at Mosel-Vitelic, and senior process engineer at Applied Materials.
Dr. Wu received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University in 1990, and Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1997. Lei joined NLVC in 2010 with more than two decades of experience in technology development, corporate strategy/operations and investments. He leads NLVC’s Advanced Technology investments that cover a wide range of technology innovation driven companies (e.g., AI systems, IoT systems, sensors and semiconductor, robotics, new materials and environmental protection). Prior to NLVC, he was a Principal at VantagePoint Venture Partners (VPVP), where he also focused on early stage investments in transformational technology companies. Prior to VPVP, he was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company serving Fortune 500 companies across the high-tech value chain: semiconductor equipment, logic, memory and microprocessor devices, networking/storage equipment, and software and IT services.
