Dr. Althauser was appointed Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai in August 2017. She studied Political Science, Slavic Languages and Literature and Sinology in Heidelberg, Taiwan, Moscow and Luxembourg and holds a doctoral degree from Heidelberg University. She joined the Federal Foreign Office in 1985. She was posted to the German Embassy in Beijing from 1987 to 1990, then she worked at the USSR/Russia desk at Federal Foreign Office in Bonn, at the German Embassies in The Hague, Moscow and at the Policy Planning Staff Section at the Federal Ministry of Defence in Berlin. She has also been posted to the Permanent Representations of Germany to the European Union in Brussels and to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and has served as Head of the Crisis Prevention Division at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Prior to her assignment in Shanghai, Dr. Althauser was Head of the Press Section at the German Embassy in Moscow and Ambassador of Germany in Skopje (Former Yougoslav Republic of Macedonia).

Since 2005 he is General Manager of Engel Machinery Shanghai and since 2013 he also became the General Manager of Engel Machinery in Changzhou. Mr. Garimort graduated from University of applied Science in Austria in 1999.

Mr. Robin Gu is director of commissioning department of Manz and dedicates to service function over 15 years. He has rich experience in on-site service as well as in the improvement of performance and efficiency of service team. Mr. Gu joined the Manz China team as service manager. With his leadership, the service team enlarged from 15 to102 person and increased service revenue rapidly. He was promoted as director due to his outstanding performance.

Mr. Gu has bachelor degree in electrical engineering and automation in Tianjin University of Technology and worked in service department of UMS Technology(Suzhou) Co. Ltd. before he joined Manz.

Mr. Howard Li is Managing Director China of LPKF. LPKF is a leading company in laser micro-processing, including 4 BU in rapid prototype, electronics, welding and solar. Before that, he worked in Renishaw as Managing Director China, in Hettich and DMG Mori respectively as Sales Director, and leaded outstanding business growth in China. He worked 10 years in NTS Group as MD and VP for its business startup and development in China, and worked 6 years in technical management and top management in IC card manufacturing in Shanghai Schlumberger. Mr. Li conducted post graduate research in industry automation for 5 years before he earned Doctor of Science in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1998. Except for this engineering background in education, he graduated from CEIBS GEMBA program in 2012.

Mr. Peter Thomson is Regional Customer Support Director of Multivac Shanghai since 2013. His primary role in China is to provide support and management in both technical and processing for the after-sales customer service department, but this also includes technical support for their daughter companies in South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand. He joined the company Multivac Australia P/L in Australia in 2005 as National Service Manager.

Mr. Thomson is tertiary and trade qualified mechanical engineering professional with experience managing OEM service and spare parts organization within Australia and Asia. Prior experience includes engineering/maintenance department operations supporting manufacturing operations in the food sector which has included dairy, poultry, vegetable, processed meat and prepared meals. He earned Diploma of Engineering from Victoria University in Melbourne Australia.

Mr. Erik Walenza is the CEO of IoT ONE which is the leading source of information and insight regarding Industrial Internet of Things vendors and technologies. Companies work with IoT ONE to bring new products to market, build partner ecosystems, and evolve their innovation strategies.

As Chair of the IIC SFTG, Mr. Walenza works with IIC members to reduce risk for early adopters of Industrial IoT technologies in manufacturing. He has interviewed over 30 CEOs, VC partners, and domain experts and build one of Shanghai’s largest networks of entrepreneurs and investors. He regularly advises early stage entrepreneurs and provides introductions to help small teams leverage external resources to drive their growth.

Mr. Walenza has presented at more than 20 events related to the topic of the Industrial IoT. He hosts regular events, ranging from startup tech talks to executive roundtables. And he advises a wide range of clients on topics related to solution development and growth strategy.

Ms. Wang Fang is General Manager of HANSA-FLEX Hydraulic Shanghai Co. Ltd., a full-invested subsidiary company of HANSA-FLEX AG which is Europe’s leading company for all areas of hydraulics. Ms. Wang joined the company as chief representative in 2003 and leaded excellent business expansion in China. HANSA-FLEX Hydraulic Shanghai Co. Ltd. has now 10 different locations with over 200 employees China-wide and generates an annual revenue of 200 Mio. RMB in 2018. In addition, Ms. Wang is also responsible for the HR and Finance in another two Joint Ventures of HANSA-FLEX Group which have total revenue of 100 Mio. RMB this year. Ms. Wang graduated from Bremen University in Germany in 2002 and finished the AMP (Advanced Management Programme) at China Europe International Business School in 2013.

Ms. Jenny Wang is HR Manager of Fette compacting China. Fette Compacting is the world’s leading provider of integrated solutions for the transformation of powder into tablets. As a technological and global market leader, the company specializes in high-performance machines for the pharmaceutical industry. Fette Compacting is part of the LMT Group – a medium-sized, family-owned group of companies. Dr. Wu is Professor and Dean, Institute of International Studies, and Director at the Center for American Studies, Fudan University. He teaches and researches China’s foreign and security policy, Sino-U.S. relations, and U.S. Asia-Pacific policy. Prof. Wu is the author of Dollar Diplomacy and Major Powers in China, 1909-1913 (Fudan University Press, 1997), award-winning Turbulent Water: US Asia-Pacific Security Strategy in the post-Cold War Era (Fudan University Press, 2006), Managing Crisis and Sustaining Peace between China and the United States (United States Institute of Peace, 2008), and The New Landscape in Sino-U.S. Relations in the early 21st Century (Fudan University Press, 2011). He also has published numerous articles and book chapters in China, U.S., Japan, Germany, South Korea, Singapore and India. Dr. Wu is on the editorial board of The Washington Quarterly (published by the Center for Strategic and International Studies) and on the International Board of the Studies in Asian Security book series (sponsored by the East-West Center and published by the Stanford University Press).

Dr. Wu entered Fudan University in 1982 as an undergraduate student and received his B.A. in history in 1986. In 1992, he got his Ph. D. in international relations from Fudan University. In the same year, he joined the Center for American Studies, Fudan University. In 1994, he spent one year at the George Washington University as a visiting scholar. In the fall of 1997, he was a visiting fellow at the Asia-Pacific Research Center, Stanford University and the Henry Stimson Center in Washington DC. From January to August, 2000, he was a Visiting Fellow at the Brookings Institution. From September 2006 to July 2007, he was a Jennings Randolph Senior Fellow at the United States Institute of Peace.

Mr. Yilin Xu is General Manager at Didactic of Festo Group, where he joined in 2015. Mr. Xu promotes to build up more School-enterprises Cooperation of “Dual System” Education in China and is responsible for developing China high-skilled talents.
Prior to Festo, Mr. Xu worked for The Boston Consulting Group as Project Leader. In his earlier career stage, he had marketing experience with AMCOR China and sales experience with Alcatel. Mr. Xu obtained his MBA degree from Emory University Guoizuta in U.S. and Bachelor degree from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.

LEUCO is one of the world´s largest suppliers of carbide and diamond-tipped machine tools for wood and plastic processing. Mr. Tony Yuan joined its sales office in China since 2009 as Finance Director. With his outstanding know-how and rich work experience he was promoted as the General Manager Finance & Production since 2017. Before Mr. Yuan joined LEUCO, he worked as audit project manager at Grant Thornton International CPA (Shanghai). He earned the Master Degree in International Trading from East China Normal University Business School.
