Prior to that, she was the Studio Head and Business Director at FunPlus, where she managed teams of over 80 people across US, Canada and China to produce and operate a Top 50 Facebook simulation game and a Top IOS grossing RTS game. Heather Evans is an entrepreneur turned civil servant. Following the decision to open source her second startup, Heather joined her Provincial Government as a Senior Advisor in advanced technology strategy, where she focuses on artificial intelligence and quantum technologies. Heather is a Queen’s Commerce graduate, and an alumni of Canada’s prestigious national entrepreneurship program, the Next36. She recently led the Canadian delegation to the G7 Youth Summit, and is curious to broaden her understanding of the world through the Schwarzman Scholars Program of Tsinghua University. Tanay Jaeel graduated from Berkeley where he majored in Business Administration, and was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar of the Tsinghua University. During his time there, he went deep into social impact initiatives through his coursework and extracurricular, including projects for the California State Government, rural districts in South India, and various nonprofits. After graduation, Tanay worked in Product Strategy at LinkedIn, building out the platform’s job seeking experience to help millions of members find their next career opportunity. His interest in Asia and China sparked during a 6-month rotation with LinkedIn in Singapore where he focused on driving consumer, product, and monetization growth in the region. Tanay is joining the Schwarzman Scholars program to study how the tech industry and public sector can partner to create and scale technology for social good. Youjin Lee studied Science, Technology, and Policy at Yonsei University. She is the winner of Asia of United Nations Industrial Development Organization's Youth Competition. She was also awarded Talent Award of Korea by the President of Republic of Korea. Recently, she ran social start-ups on ecological footprint and health care. Juan Sebastián Muñoz studied at UWC of the Atlantic in Wales and graduated from Middlebury College where he majored in Economics and Philosophy. Upon graduation, Juan returned to Colombia with a commitment to create a social and economic impact in his home country. He worked for Bogota’s Deputy Secretary of Education as a Finance Advisor, where he supervised a budget of USD$ 500 million in educational programs. Sebastián then moved to Medellin to lead the business initiatives of Caltek, a subsidiary of one of LATAM´s largest conglomerates. He is also co-founder of Mentors4u Colombia, a mentorship program that connects talented college students from underprivileged backgrounds, with successful professionals. Sebastián is interested in learning more about entrepreneurship, business and education as catalyzers for social change. Miro Plueckebaum graduated from the University of York with a bachelors degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. At university, he chaired a sports club, represented the students of his department, built one of Europe's largest and most successful United Nations Associations, and co-founded an online platform used by MUN conferences across Europe. Prior to joining Schwarzman Scholars Miro was a Machine Learning Strategist and AI Public Policy and Ethics Advisor at SAP.

Deborah Tien graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Astrophysics in 2012; and she was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar of the Tsinghua University. Armed with a passion for creative justice and a deep belief that it should not just be the 'elite' who solve the hard problems, she has spent the past few years living and working in Arusha, Tanzania, leading a small, grassroots social innovation makerspace & outreach programs, focused on creating a world with more local solutions to local challenges. Her ecosystem approach has led to developing local & international partnerships and sparked many interesting conversations. Deborah is 27 years old and from the United States.
Ruby Wang graduated from the University of Cambridge and the University College London with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and Masters in Neuroscience; and was selected as a Schwarzman Scholar of the Tsinghua University. She is a doctor in the UK’s National Health Service, currently specialising in ENT Surgery. In her first two years as a clinician, and during the recent tumultuous Junior Doctor Contract changes, she has enthusiastically represented her peers in the elected committees of the British Medical Association and Junior Doctor Forum. Additionally, she has been involved in the co-ordination of the GIANT Global Innovation and Technolgy in Health UK Annual Conference for the past year, and is looking to create a sister conference in China.

After working at the world’s largest youth leadership non-for-profit and world’s largest private education company, he continued to pursue his passion and co-founded 3 educational start-ups. He is currently an expert advisor at the Beijing New Essence Education Group 北京新学道, and he was selected as a Global Shaper and the Advisory Council Steering Committee by the World Economic Forum (Davos). He is also a mentor and a guest lecturer across over 30 countries, at universities like Tsinghua and organizations/companies like China UnionPay on the topics of design thinking, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Hugo Wood is a lawyer, social entrepreneur and human development advocate. He serves as Public Policy Advisor and Chief Speechwriter to the Vice-President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama and is coordinating the largest debate student tournament in the history of his country. He graduated magna cum laude of Law and Political Science from Santa Maria La Antigua University where he was the founder of the United Youth for Dialogue, the university's current largest student organization.
