Zhang Yiqing is the Director of Standard Chinese and Linguistics at Institute of Applied Linguistics of Ministry of Education, and associate professor and doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has been a guest speaker on CCTV's "Lecture Room" and "Chinese Characters Dictation Competition". Professor Zhang graduated from Peking University's Department of Linguistics and has spent the past twenty years researching Chinese characters and promoting traditional culture.
