The VDMA Woodworking Machinery Sector Executive Dinner is an exclusive gathering designed to bring together C-level executives from member companies for an evening of networking, collaboration, and insightful discussions. The event will begin with an opening presentation live from VDMA Frankfurt by Mr. Dominik Wolfschuetz, Senior Market Analyst for woodworking at VDMA HQ. He will share the latest macro view of global woodworking machinery trade, with a focus on Chinese market.
Next, Mr. Michael Riffel and Mr. Xiaohan Wang ofAFRY Management Consulting, will co-present a global market update on the challenges and opportunities of panel and surfacing Market. They will further extend the deep dive into Chinese market.
The presentations will be followed by a Q&A and discussion session, during which the attendees can engage directly with the speakers.

His expertise is in wood-based panels and decorative surfacing materials in Europe, North America and China, having spent 2 years in the country. His work focuses on economic and demand analysis, cost competitiveness analysis and modelling, resin systems as well as due diligence projects. Prior to AFRY, Michael has gathered experienced in the wood-based panel industry in Germany and China and was working for a major resin producer. He has a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management, Hochschule Mannheim (Germany) and Tongji University in Shanghai (China), a B.Eng. in Wood Technology, Rosenheim (Germany) and is a trained carpenter
Xiaohan Wang
Consultant, AFRY Management ConsultingXiaohan joined AFRY Management Consulting in 2021. He focuses on market, due diligence and operational excellence in bioindustry related segments like forestry, wood based panel, pulp & paper. Before joining AFRY, he has industrial project experiences both in China and Canada and managed projects related to sustainable supply chain management, FSC certificate compliance and product excellence in a leading paper group. Xiaohan holds a M.Sc. in pulp and Paper Engineering from China National Pulp and Paper Research Institute.
