AUCA是由海外高校驻华代表组成的职业联盟组织，最先由三位驻华工作的美国高校代表于2014年发起组织，成员为长期驻扎中国的海外大学工作人员。截至目前，已有来自90余所顶尖海外院校的150多名驻华代表加入其中。
联盟旨在促进国际高等教育机构与中国学生和家长的互动，通过教育、学术、文化等方面的交流与合作，增进中国学生、家长以及高校对海外院校的了解。联盟提倡成员之间的互动、合作与对话，并以此推动该领域的专业知识的研究与创造，致力于通过国际教育合作倡导实现一个更美好的世界。
联盟设立指导委员会作为管理主体，下设四个工作委员会：学生就业指导委员会，校友发展委员会，招生委员会和学术合作委员会。联盟每年举办两次成员会议，探讨国际教育领域各种焦点和趋势议题。同时，联盟每年举办海归招聘会、职业发展论坛、美国大学招生展、校友沙龙等活动。

AUCA is an open organization for overseas universities' representatives based in Mainland China to exchange information and resources, learn from each others' experiences and best practices, and pursue collaboration and partnerships, for the purpose of better promoting the universities they represent and further advancing higher education internationalization.
Up to now, over 150 university representatives from more than 90 overseas universities have joined AUCA and our events.
Since 2019, AUCA Recruitment Committee has held 31 webinars focusing on advising students for graduate school applications and have attracted over 2,000+ students and parents participated. In this spring, AUCA will partner with various high schools in the south, east and north China region to organize fairs and workshops for students and families to meet with recruiters directly.
