"Chinas Road to Carbon Neutrality – Opportunities and Challenges for Mechanical Engineering"

This year's Summit appears in an entirely new format. Instead of the previous one-day event, we will enrich the experience and networking opportunities by extending the scope to two days.

On the first day, in the afternoon of September 14, we will meet in the Sofitel Hotel Hongqiao. For this 1st part of the Summit, we have invited high-ranking speakers from the German, Chinese and European side to share insights about the current political and regulatory framework. Furthermore, we will open the floor to discuss trends and challenges for a sustainable future and what role the mechanical engineering industry is playing.

The 2nd half of the Summit, scheduled for September 15, will be hosted in an actual factory environment, a factory whose products stand for sustainability and innovation. Refire, a leading Chinese company in the hydrogen industry, is opening its doors for us. We will have the rare chance, to learn about their cutting-edge hydrogen energy technology products and witness their internationally certified research and development facilities. Furthermore, we have invited VDMA member companies to share their individual use cases and best practices to combat climate change and reduce CO2 emissions.
