Pit Heltmann is the Consul General of the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai. Prior to his role in Shanghai he has been stationed in Pyongyang, North Korea as Ambassador. He has been a Minister Counsellor and Head of the Political Section at the Germany Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. He started his diplomatic career in 1988 in the Federal Foreign Office in Bonn, Germany.

Dr. Vincent Guo is a director of business development in the digital manufacturing segment of Siemens Digital Industries Software. He is a part of the global team that is responsible for product, R&D, and sales strategy. He works with product management and R&D department to develop and commercialize solutions for traditional and new energy automotive, electronics, heavy equipment, aerospace, and other verticals. Before joining Siemens Digital Industries Software, Dr. Guo was a director in Siemens’ corporate venture capital unit Next47 and Siemens’ central innovation organization corporate technology. He was leading the investment, technology incubation, and partnership with start-up companies in advanced manufacturing, energy, and healthcare sectors. Dr. Guo received his PhD and MS from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) after he obtained BS in Peking University.

Dr René Arnold is Vice President Public Affairs Strategy at Huawei Technologies. Previously, he worked at high-profile think tanks in Germany (German Economic Institute and WIK) and Brussels (Bruegel) where his research focused on digital economy, internet policy and impact assessments of regulatory frameworks. Over the past ten years, René has (co-)authored more than 100 conference papers, journal articles and white papers. He is a frequent speaker at both academic and industry events contributing among other fora to the ITU economic and industry round table, the Digital Summit of the German government and the research committee of the Munich Circle.

Shane Sun is heading the office of the German Machine Tools Builders Association (VDW) in China. He majored in mechanical engineering and started his career with a leading machine tool builder in China.
He than progressed to work for the China National Aviation Project to help build the C919 as the lead project planner for COMAC SAMC. In 2017 he has joined the VDMA as a project manager for the machine tool industry.
In 2019 he has been appointed as the key contact for the umati project in China. Since 2021 he has been officially promoted to Chief Representative of the VDW Shanghai Representative Office.
